Grandfather's Links
Years after he left the Prodigal, he still takes interest in the organization every time he encounters a member - although it's very rare for him to get into contact with them. Grandfather took interest in Emery as a member of the prodigal - especially with how the psychological development brought Elois into the scene as well. He doesn't like the fact that Emery had joined the organization just for a mere romantic pursuit.
At some point where Emery will get older, Grandfather intends to have Emery take over his position as "Grandmaster" in order to replace "Grandfather"
Emery's suicide attempt caused Emery withdraw from the Prodigal as she got older. She encounters Grandfather, who prevented her attempt, and then taking her home and thus becoming her new mentor. Despite that he recognized Maximille as a natural-born prodigy and was on his way to being famous, it didn't stop Grandfather from taking him away from that life and made him work as an underling.
Atticus doesn't show his affection, but Grandfather cares for him dearly and is cautious about his safety - especially when his line of work is often devious and dangerous for those that are connected to him.
Grandfather left the Prodigal, hoping that Maximille would pick up whatever he left out. He believed that it was best for Max to stay away from him to prevent any dangers in his life.
Maximille was going to live a life as an international and successful athlete until he stumbled upon the middle of one of Grandfather's despicable schemes. However, Max preferred living a more quiet life, thus preferred working as Grandfather's butler and servant.
There was a few times where their master-servant relationship grew intimate, and Durand could feel that he was just merely being used. Yet, this whole time Grandfather has used him since he served him for many years.
Him and Grandfather created the idea of the Prodigal, thus making it true after a few months. Once, it reached its successful peak, Grandfather disappeared without a single trace and left Max alone to lead. It upset the man greatly, but now he merely picks up whatever his master left out and simply waits.
Their relationship is merely professional, yet Maximille is truly fond and develops one-sided feelings for him. He overlooks his devilish demeanor and often scolds him for it, but it doesn't change how much he cares and misses for him.
Grandfather discovered this man in his house - a very unexpected precedent for the both of them. Then Atticus saved him from potential death. Since then their relationship grew, whether it's because of both of their attractions towards each other or perhaps something beyond that.
Jackson tends to break into houses that aren't occupied and spend a few days there before bouncing to the next house. His only problem this time was that he didn't expect the owner of the house to show up so soon! Not like he didn't mind, considering the owner was a handsome elder. They had fun moments until Grandfather ended up protecting him from Smiley. Ever since then Jackson has been very close to him, whether it's through a relationship or him just needing a thief to do some dirty work for him.
Despite that he is the brother of his rival, let alone he looks identical to him, he can't help but to comfort him in his time of stress. He also enjoys eating his pasta.
Faith feels uneasy sometimes when he comes to visit his restaurant, although he can't help but cook for him. Overall, this mysterious figure often makes him in a better mood by the end of the day.
"Swiggity swooty comin' for that booty."

Perhaps it was guilt as he was a minute too late from saving Jey from his unfortunate death. Yet he felt as if Jey would have wanted Atticus to watch his child and his grandchildren. Regardless, he knows of Gil, his whereabouts and even his objectives. Yet, he doesn't freely show his face at all to him, waiting for Walker to finally find him.
Years of searching for any type of lead about his grandfather lead Gil to the name "Grandfather". Ironic, in a sense, yet this one seems to hold an ominous power to it. He must find this Grandfather and see what he knows.
