Maximille's Links
Maximille was going to live a life as an international and successful athlete until he stumbled upon the middle of one of Grandfather's despicable schemes. However, Max preferred living a more quiet life, thus preferred working as Grandfather's butler and servant.
There was a few times where their master-servant relationship grew intimate, and Durand could feel that he was just merely being used. Yet, this whole time Grandfather has used him since he served him for many years.
Him and Grandfather created the idea of the Prodigal, thus making it true after a few months. Once, it reached its successful peak, Grandfather disappeared without a single trace and left Max alone to lead. It upset the man greatly, but now he merely picks up whatever his master left out and simply waits.
Their relationship is merely professional, yet Maximille is truly fond and develops one-sided feelings for him. He overlooks his devilish demeanor and often scolds him for it, but it doesn't change how much he cares and misses for him.
Despite that he recognized Maximille as a natural-born prodigy and was on his way to being famous, it didn't stop Grandfather from taking him away from that life and made him work as an underling.
Atticus doesn't show his affection, but Grandfather cares for him dearly and is cautious about his safety - especially when his line of work is often devious and dangerous for those that are connected to him.
Grandfather left the Prodigal, hoping that Maximille would pick up whatever he left out. He believed that it was best for Max to stay away from him to prevent any dangers in his life.
Maximille definitely felt indifferent when Viktor brought in fairly young man into the organization. At first he was rude and unkind to Hope, since he lacked experience but he still praised him since he was a child prodigy of all forms of arts.
Eventually Durand grew to him, now respecting Hope since Max was also the other member to raise him well into the Prodigal.
Hope was as composed and calm when he was introduced to his mentor's(Viktor) mentor. Maximille was harsh and pressured him often, but it didn't stop Hope from remaining the same way. He didn't break down, and he did continue to kept up to Durand's expectation.
At some point he finally managed to gain Maxi's respect. They're not drinking buddies and Durand often gave him advice and tips in and out of the Prodigal.
They also slept together. Alot. Before Emery came into play.
Maximille mentored him before Grandfather had accepted him into the Prodigal and then leaving. Usually Max always gave Grandfather company, but now he accompanies Viktor more until he demanded that he wanted to be left alone and not be constantly nagged like he's done to his former lover.
Viktor was Maximille's supposed 'Apprentice' but now turned Protege in the Prodigal as he was chosen - although the whole time Maximille had not given him a single reason why he chose Viktor. Nowadays, he doesn't complain and their relationship are close since they've been together for years.
Maximille was present when Emery had picked her up. He wasn't necessarily interested at all, thinking that she was just any other pitiful girl but he was pleasantly surprised from her confidence and mere intellectual and creative talents. When Emery wasn't present, Max would be there to care for her until Max himself was willing to adopt her as his own child.
A benefit is that Maximille wanted his own child and with her unique appearance of white hair and pale skin that was comparable to his own similar looks, many people believe that Luka is actually his daughter.
Luka wasn't necessarily afraid of Max, but she was most intimidated by his appearance. However, it didn't stop her from remaining by his side when Emery is away. Luka is often fascinated by Maximille's works, and most especially his fashion - so she was often willing to work in his tailor business.
Luka was surprisingly happy when Maximille takes her as his daughter. For once in her life, she could feel like she has a family to come home to.
Max denies the fact that he knows Aysun and that he works for him publicly - many of his customers and his friends find this young man hanging around in his store. He could barely tolerate Court's personality and his lack of integrity. However, Durand finds Aysun very useful and is a key partner to the private brothel they manage together.
Aysun naturally gravitated towards Maximille, finding him to be a perfect mixture of charm, elegance, and genius. He wanted to learn to be like that and somehow ended up working for him as the manager of the brothel during the times Maximille must focus elsewhere. To save the man's reputation, Aysun dresses as a woman whenever he's at the brothel.
