"Why did we decide to keep her? We should give her up for adoption; I can't leave the house without her complaining or crying!"

Luka was born in Los Angeles with a small case of Albinism - because of this defect she appears with pale skin and white hair and bright eyes. However, she was fairly weak and frail, she was often feverish when she was especially very young - and often burdened her older siblings and parents. Eventually her direct relatives have given up on her health and often ignored her needs and paid more attention to her older, much healthier siblings. She continued to let this pass, scared of her family and was often not fond of sharing her sufferable life to those outside of her home. She was most definitely reluctant in telling her classmates and teachers but they'd often support her by providing food and proper education.
However, until one day she tagged along with her family to a small little vacation down south to San Diego, but after burdening her family once more, they've decided that they thought were clever enough to abandon her in a local motel in the same, leaving her uncomfortably helpless and lonely. Saddened with the belief that she had no one to care for her, she fell sick once more due to lack of nutrition and improper sleeping habits - and with her physically weak body, she was probably near death. After a week, she stumbles upon [Emery], who was was recently taken part of the Prodigal. Luka wasn't sure if it was out of her caring habits or just out of pity, Emery was willing to take her home and care for her until she was able to care for herself. Emery and a few other older adults have taken her parents into custody, but once Luka was already too attached to this young woman before she would be sent into an orphanage.

"I only wish to bring misfortune to those wretches that have abandoned your little frail body. But don't fret, Luka. You'll live under this roof... in a warm home to keep you safe. And from now on, you'll be considered to be my precious child. We may not be related by blood, but we'll soon realize that blood won't mean anything to the connection between the two of us... my beloved daughter.."

Emery takes Luka under her wing, although not officially her guardian, she treats this child as a her own family. Luka is introduced into the Prodigal, where members discover her gifted intellectual mind and is one day being supported by the organization themselves. [Maximille] adopts Luka as his "temporary" child for the sake of the Prodigal's future and takes her into his home.
Yet, the longer she's lived in Maximille's home, she more she didn't want to leave. Luka grew attached to Maximille's cold demeanor but somehow managed to look past through it - and understood the Tailor's concerns for her. Durand eventually realized he had no thoughts about letting this small girl home and decided that he'll finally adopt her - raising her as his own child that he thought he'd never have.
Luka was enrolled to a brand new school, and because of her physical appearance, she stood out the most among her students. Even worse, she was rather intelligent for her age (perhaps because it was Maximille's fault for providing a Professor as her tutor before enrolling). She distanced herself from her classmates to dedicate herself in studying and reading in order to reach the full potential of her perfect grades.
But through Emery, she meets a wonderful young boy that goes by the name of Jackie - a popular young student of the same year who is also enrolled in the same school.
"Weird? No?! What kind of idiot says you look weird? I think you're real cool! You're interesting. You're talented. You're super smart. A-And I think you're pretty cute?"

Luka's only friend in school was Jackie. And they spent time with the same group outside of the campus afterschool. And they stuck together since middle school all the way to their senior year. Luka, who seemed too invested in studying, hasn't realized Jackie's feelings towards her until she realized her own feelings. Before their homecoming dance, Jackie had abruptly took his chances and confessed his feelings towards Luka.
Of course, she returned his feelings quite well. At this point Luka felt like she was happier than she ever was. While experiencing the last of their high school days and then venturing their way to their first year of college, she continued to stay by Jackie's side even if she was busy balancing both her work in the Tailor shop and in the University.
- Luka was the youngest child and was often sick. Her older siblings and parents believed that they were holding them back from many things.
- Eventually her family abandoned her during one of their vacation days in a motel room and left her sick and starving.
- Emery eventually finds the poor girl and takes her in. One of Emery's mentors, Maximille would take Luka in afterwards.
- Maximille grows attached to Luka, thus adopting her as his daughter.
- Enrolled to a middle school where she met Jackie, who eventually develops feelings for.
- Luka and Jackie both graduate highschool and both currently enrolled in the same University.
