About

Jackie is a young man who takes his duties very seriously if given to him. Compared to his sociable, outgoing father, Jackie is of light-heartedness and inexperienced. Yet he shares the same optimism and friendliness as his beloved parent. Even if he doesn't always believe in himself, he uses earnest effort to overcome any shortcomings he thinks he may have. He seeks to someday become a man worthy without being compared to his father. Born with a handsome constitution, he may unintentionally attract women, though completely oblivious to the fact of it. He compliments the ladies he encounters, voicing his honest praise without sarcasm or jest as a gesture of politeness. According to his parents and Emery herself, he is extremely popular with the ladies in his high school (most especially in his senior year), but completely oblivious.

He may not be obvious about it, but he's not too confident in himself - though not as drastic as his other friend, Elliot. Jackie shares a very close friendship with many of his friends, as a united, close relationship would help Bleu strive farther and they're constantly in support of believing in his own goals. 

Although they met by pure coincidence through the connection of Emery, Jack is happy to have met Luka since she offers him light-hearted optimism and support. While he continues to struggle with his self-image and expectations for his future, Jackie is confident that he is at least strong enough to protect her from danger. Her sheltered, and intellectual behavior in inspires him to try harder as well. Jackie becomes obligated to care for her as years go by.

  > His friends insisted on calling him Jackie, and just decided to roll with it,
• Part of his friend's band group.
  > Jackie loves to sing.
  > His part is playing the piano and the keyboard. He is capable of playing a guitar but seldom does so.
• There are hints that Jackie might have a crush on Luka, but Jackie denies it every time...
  > Luka doesn't even seem to realize or is interested in such matters. Or she's too busy thinking about Emery for her to notice.
• Jackie earns extra funds on three different jobs during his spare time despite being in highschool.
  > One would be working with Elliot in his bakery as his cashier. Elliot is not too much of a social-friendly worker and rather prefers to stay in the kitchen. He occasionally ask Jackie to help him cover the front.
  > Two would be working alongside Luka in her adoptive father's tailor business. Luka's father is Maximille; who gains his notoriety through tailoring suits for professionals and the wealthy. Hence why he has a knack for wearing suits and ties normally.
  > Three would be working for the Prodigal as Elois's office worker and delivery boy. He doesn't have much of a connection except for handling documents and bringing her food - especially when Elois is a busy gal.
• Bleu is the youngest out of the bunch. Even when he is a senior in highschool his friends still often poke fun at his age, often calling him a boy or a baby.
  > He doesn't like being poke fun of about it. Yet he doesn't mind being called their "child."
• Jackie is very popular in highschool and many of his peers admire him for his work and looks. Unfortunately he rarely stays in his highschool campus after class and would much rather be with his friends or with Luka.
• Fairly clueless and is often the one who doesn't get the message that someone has feelings for him.
  > This is where many realize that he might be too focused on Luka for him to think about other people's feelings. There had been plenty of highschool drama because of it with the girls around the two of them.

Backstory

James is born in SoCal almost as soon as his parents just moved in from the north and settled in quickly. He was raised well by both of mother and father, but because of how much his father loved his work and how popular he was with his own students - he was often compared between him and his father for years. Because of it, he often questions his own individuality and eventually begins to loathe the thought of being compared to him again. He separates himself from his father the older he'd gotten, sometimes going off with his rising temper to a point it affected his relationship with his classmates. 

After getting to a point where he'd get into fights with his classmates due to his temper (added along with the unnecessary drama because of his popularity), he much preferred to be in the shelter of his home. He asked his mother if he could be homeschooled until he graduated, but his father - concerned for his social behavior - he came for the help of one of his students in College.

There he was introduced to Emery, who he connected with quite well. It was she that persuaded him to go back to school normally. Jackie preferred to be with the company of Emery and their friends - and very little interest with any school activities.

(Story) The Prodigal

As Jackie remains close with Emery, he was there when she found a little girl abandoned by her family in a hotel resort that they (along with the other five companions) stayed in during their summer vacation. Especially as she appeared small and frail, let alone they were the same age, Bleu couldn't help but constantly watch over her until Maximille brought her to his own under his care. He felt particularly bad that he couldn't do anything to help her during that, but Durand adopted her as her own and entered the same highschool he enrolled in - he was practically a bodyguard around Luka.

During their senior year of highschool, Jackie was the first to realize the concern for Emery. For a week of no contact, he realized that she had been missing; he and his friends immediately looked for other people to find her. Even Maximille and Viktor used their own power of the Prodigal (which had been unknown to him), to schedule a search. Emery had been gone for two months, and she came back completely unscathed... and different. She couldn't remember a single thought of how she managed to escape the kidnapping incident.
Bleu, unsure if the lack of memory was through the trauma, he and Luka decided to watch her carefully while they worked in the tailor shop. Jackie caught the shift of her personality, confused of how to respond and immediately told their friends about the situation. His father assumed the trauma created a second personality and a new identity, and Jackie brought her to a psychologist to determine if this was true.

During the periods of Elois, Jackie wouldn't do anything else but watch her. Compared to the rest of their friends, Jackie would be the one to remain quiet - playing errand boy whenever she needed anything. Despite she spews out harsh words to him, he believes that she doesn't mean anything by it and remains to act like her friend.

Relationships

Emery  [ Mentor, Friend ]

Emery started off as his tutor introduced by his father but later he found out Emery's purpose was to get him back to highschool. Even if he realized it, he couldn't come to hate her. In fact, he was glad that she was there to comfort him, as a struggling student. Jackie was soon introduced by Emery's other bunch of friends, and apparently he was able to fit in quite well.

Bleu sees her more than a friend, but a wonderful role model. She talented and kind to many - there's rarely anything that Jackie sees in her negatively. 

Luka  [ Friend? ]

When first meeting Luka, she was fragile and in poor health. At the time, she had been abandoned by her family. Even after finding them, her family had no interest in taking her back - but Maximille, Emery's mentor, was kind enough to take Luka in as his own.

When Luka was enrolled into the same highschool as him, he felt like he needed to be by Luka's side. Not only as her friend, but as her protector. Jackie understands that she's often ill and physically weak, he needed to be there to protect her. Now, Luka may not be there to help him physically - she often gives him nothing but kindness and love. It was to a point where Jackie develops a crush on her since then. 

Ben  [ Father ]

Benjamin is Jackie's father, whom many people look up to in admiration and kindness. He is a professor at a nearby university and he's a popular professor among his coworkers and his students. Jackie didn't mind it when he was a young child, but he's grown to hate being compared to his father. Especially when it's caused to put up these unnecessary expectations on himself. He slowly becomes distant from his own father and becomes hot tempered overtime - arguing with his own father sometimes and even to the classmates due to the drama that came with his popularity.

Now Ben tries to reconnect with his beloved son. Jackie knows his father's intentions, he tries his best too but sometimes most of their conversations turns out awkward before they go their separate ways.

Elois  [ Friend ]

Elois appeared so suddenly after Emery had disappeared for two months. But her existence made Jackie fully understand as to how Emery was able to come back unscathed. Elois is considered the far superior form of Emery, in a completely different personality in the same body. Unfortunately, Elois's existence made her hard to interact and socialize as she's quite mean on the outside. But Jackie, who loves Emery dearly, sticks by Elois.

Jackie is Elois's errand boy most of the time, but in exchange Jackie teaches her so many things behind the computer. Especially hacking, she takes the time teaching him of becoming a successful information broker. Jackie doesn't prefer the idea of stealing confidential information and making a business from it, so he doesn't put all of the skills he learned into actual work. However, he retains all the information he learns, in hopes it becomes useful in the future....

Maximille  [ Boss ]

Jackie wanted to find a job to earn himself a bit of cash during the school breaks. And there, Emery introduced him to Maximille, the owner of a small, yet renown tailorship hidden in the city. Despite he's quite strict to many, Durand very much appreciates Jackie wanting to work as his assistant in the shop.

Though their relationship changed when Luka was adopted by Maximille. Durand knows well of Bleu's feelings for Luka and Maximille being a doting father to his child, is quite displeased with it. Jackie claims that he has no feelings for her to save his own hide and his position in the tailor shop but Durand knows about his little crush regardless.
