Aletta Vancouver

Aletta is my favorite character to put into AUs, but this is her "default" version:

Backstory

Born to Rosetta and Sebastian Vancouver, Aletta grew up perfectly average, and stayed that way. Her parents divorced when she was a tween and her mother moved to Latin America to be with her family. Sebastian took the divorce hard and never really recovered from that loneliness. Aletta has since felt responsible for keeping him happy, even as her own direction in life becomes blurrier and blurrier. She's going to college two years "late" and works to feed herself, living alone in a small apartment. She's an English major, for lack of any special talents or interests.

What she needs is a sense of purpose, but she has no idea where to start looking.

Personality

Aletta keeps to herself most of the time. She is socially anxious and awkward, but always polite to strangers. Deeper inside is a stubborn Aries with a big heart and the potential to get really fired up about what she cares about. Unfortunately, that part of her rarely gets to show when she's feeling so aimless. She measures her self worth by her ability to help her friends and takes it personally when she's told to keep out of things. She's very physically affectionate and gets angry with you more frequently the closer you are. It's how she shows she cares (though it can verge onto being controlling). Her biggest fear is becoming a burden to people.

Aletta has the potential to be heroic and electric, if only given the chance to grow.
