Tense. This kid is alert and restless at all times--or as far as other chiot can observe, since it's their presence that puts her on edge. Having spent a chunk of her childhood abandoned in the wilderness (luckily, some pongu took pity on her and kept predators at bay), Lettuce has trouble understanding others and communicating with them. Even with the years her father, after retrieving her, spent trying to help her adjust, she still has her quirks. For one, she doesn't understand complicated emotions. She'll often fight her own facial muscles in the confusion of her own feelings and end up with bizarre expressions. Deep, contemplative thoughts are beyond her as well. She has simple beliefs she sticks to, like defense of plants. Heaven forbid someone eat a salad in front of her--she'll break down crying or scream or attempt a solution or punishment of whoever could commit such a horrifying act. In some way, she sees herself as a plant creature similar to a pongu, and consuming plants is akin to murder.

What keeps her from being a complete wild child who attacks everyone who steps on a flower, is her innate cautiousness. Depending on the perceived threat a stranger might pose, she could choose to flee instead of chide them for hurting nature. But for a while, she may appear completely frozen as she waits and sees if something is a threat or not. Touching her without permission can get such results too as physical contact is something she has trouble handling if it's not someone she trusts. Another reason she will often freeze in place is because she doesn't want to run. If she runs, she won't learn, and she's learned that things that aren't "unknown" anymore aren't as scary afterwards. As such, she has a fear-driven curiosity with the goal of feeling less and less threatened in her daily life.

Letty's idea of getting to know people is staring at them. Gradually, she'll talk more, but generally she doesn't have much to say. She listens very attentively though... unless she's relaxed enough around you to be sitting without anything to do, because she absolutely will fall asleep right in front of you. Moving around engages her brain more. Her main activity is using her agility to traverse forests to catch bugs. Her main diet consists of them. Any and all bugs. She would spend most of her time hunting them, but thankfully she's been introduced to other forms of nourishment, so she doesn't go hungry while doing other things.
