☢ HUMAN ☢
As a human he is a light-skinned Caucasian boy with red eyes and dark reddish-black hair. His outfit may vary, but is usually a long white coat with black and red accents and a high collar that covers the bottom half of his face. In earlier stages he wore a messy red hoodie. In the normal Earth/Human AU, he is a light-skinned, redheaded boy with gray eyes and run-of-the-mill apocalypse clothes.
☢ FORM ☢

His animal form is that of a tall, fluffy white canine with red husky-like markings, red eyes, and a black streak over either eye. His tail is very long and heavy, and normally rests at least partially on the ground. He may have wings which are mostly black on top and mostly white on bottom. Between his shoulder blades is a black splotch of color.

☢ ACCESSORIES ☢
Bandages across his chest cover and hide his Zombie wound. He tells others it is a chronic injury that flares up occasionally and should remain covered (which isn't entirely a lie). In his human form these bandages are hidden under clothes.
He wears vital red headphones which stabilize his mental state and prevent his zombie-like condition. They are prototypes from an asylum designed by psychologists with music and electronic waves to calm the brain.
He carries a serrated knife and plasma pistol in Shift.
He has a bio-hazard suit, but not carried with him in Shift.

☢ BASIC ☢
A pretty chill dude. For the most part he is quiet and laid back, usually with a straightforward, emotionless or generally unamused demeanor. He hardly ever shows emotions (let alone smile) unless something absolutely wild happens, though his close friends can come to understand his rather inexpressive body language. Normally he is silent and observational, and though he may not speak he is constantly aware of his surroundings; for someone who voices his thoughts so rarely, he sure does have a lot of them and is constantly in contemplation, noticing details others might easily miss. He avoids social chatter, and most of his conversations are professional, approaching others only when needed; despite this he doesn't mind talkative companions, though he is easily socially exhausted and is quick to seek quiet alone time.
He is very loyal and self-sacrificial for his close allies who he's come to trust. While he doesn't like to be touched (or even brushed up against), he tolerates friends near him and for him to not obsess over his personal space is a large sign of trust.
Aggression is one of the few emotions he makes easily clear, though he knows to lay low for a battle that can't be won.

☢ DEVELOPMENT ☢
In most situations he would easily become a follower, but ended up becoming a leader because it was needed. Pre-bleed he was an asocial loner who, while well known in his community, certainly wasn't social in it. After the bleed he encountered Shepherd and an injured Corone, who needed a leader in their states, and after that anyone else they came across also picked up on the hierarchy, until he was eventually the leader of a much larger group. As his storyline progresses he quickly evolves to understand and cooperate with others, becoming less cut-off and more communicative as he learns to be a leader.

☢ LIKES ☢
Silence/Calmness, personal space, helping out
Familiar, closed-off environments
☢ DISLIKES ☢
Loud sounds, flashing/bright lights, water
Being within a foot of anyone he doesn't know well

☢ PRE-BLEED ☢
He was raised at an orphanage in O'Vair, but ran away to forge his own life after never getting adopted. However, he does not have any negative feelings about this--rather, he tries to see the world as it is, and to logically understand what path is best for himself. Despite his lifestyle, he pursued knowledge, and educated himself whenever possible. He was lucky enough to live in a nice part of town and was a known member of his local community, who often helped him. While he lived a solitary life by choice, he is still nice and welcoming towards others, and is grateful for aid. He often narrowly avoided scuffles with gang kids in the city.

☢ POST BLEED ☢
He was injured on the chest during the World Bleed, hence becoming Wounded--but unlike the other Woundeds, he does not physically deteriorate into a zombie-like mutant. Despite being clearly unlike the Cultists, he found that people did not trust him for his Wound, and so he quickly learned to hide it. This paranoia becomes somewhat irrational, as he later has positive experiences with those whose trust he's earned. He gradually builds a small group of survivors--PARA--who he leads until Hcayoa shows up, her goal being to keep him away from Hazan, and everything goes to hell.

☢ ACT I ☢
He awoke to find himself covered in blood in a city now decimated and ruined. He wandered confused and searching for others, but saw only strange, mutated man-like creatures that watched but avoided him. The first true life he saw is that of a woman being attacked by a zombie and he quickly saved her, only to have her fear him as much as any other zombie. She insisted that his mutations were just slow to settle, but rest assured, he would become like those monsters someday soon.
He quickly covered his wounds and continued wandering the city alone. The zombies called to him, many beckoning him to join them. He found himself wandering among them, for he was safe in their company. They asked him to lead them, insisting he was their kind. He made it clear that he would not join their side, but they still praised him like a martyr; as he walked down the streets, he could hear them whispering among themselves watching him pass.
He came across Shepherd being cornered by a horde of zombies and rescued him. Shepherd, with no one else to follow, followed Mal. They soon came across and rescued Corone in the same manner. Both found that they were safer with Mal (due to the zombie's reluctance to attack).
Mal was not naturally a leader, but he tolerated the presence of these two, who followed him for survival sake. He learned to become a leader in order to cooperate with them in particular; because of this, anyone else who joined the group would catch on to the habit, and treat him as a leader as well.
They soon after acquired a massive air-ship and its previous pilot. This possession, and a small group of followers, kind of tossed him into the position of a post-bleed leader by chance, and he ended up collecting PARA under his wing.

☢ ACT II ☢
Years later, PARA--the Post Apocalyptic Recovery Alliance--formed between post-bleed civilizations, with Mal's group of airborne nomads being the primary communications between them. They were traders and transporters, and facilitated long-distance cooperation between settlements. The world learned of Scourge through rumors spread by the zombified Cultists, and there was a basic knowledge that the universe was under attack by a carnivorous foreign dimension. Cultists were an enemy that were systematically hunted down.
Everything was pretty chill until Yoa showed up.
She arrived at their camp exhausted from the journey and the radiation she endured to get there as fast as possible, and then passed out immediately. She was taken in by PARA, though skeptically, and no one knew what to think of her half-zombie state (possessing a zombie wound, but not being a zombie).
Upon waking she immediately attached herself to Mal. She knows of his status as a half-zombie, though grudgingly respects his desire to tell no one of it. She warns him of "Hazan"--who she refers to as "Thunder"--and that he is coming for the both of them, and so she came to protect him. Yoa is a wild bitch that essentially no one likes nor trusts--even Mal--but, despite also being incredibly annoying to him in particular, he permits her to stay since she's the only one who knows anything about their half-zombie condition.
This is all fine and dandy until Hazan actually shows up. His presence can be detected from miles by everyone aboard the ship, as his alien energy radiates pounding migraines (hence his nickname as "Thunder"). Mal's ship is destroyed but successfully evacuated except for himself and Yoa, who refuses to leave his side, but who also is the only reason they survived due to her powers. Yoa, while weakened, is able to mask their spiritual energies from Hazan. They are found and rescued by Burn and his herd of horses, and set off across the wilderness, fleeing from Hazan to meet up with PARA at their next rendezvous.
At one point they pass by Yoa's friend Lona's place, who also helps them out.
Near the end, Hazan finally acquires a massive Brute Wyvern who he sends after them and uses to capture them, hence a badass and edgy final battle. It's actually pretty dark, but they were so close to the rendezvous that PARA shows the hell up and helps them beat Hazan's ass.
☢ ACT III ☢
Life goes back to being with PARA. Hazan, crippled and defeated, stays very far away, but is not killed.
Sorodon becomes the main antagonist, as he seeks PARA's destruction so that he can take PARA's place as the uniting force (in power) between all settlements (which would force them under his control). Sorodon despises Mal for being, in his opinion, far too young to be such a prominent leader.
While Sorodon is also technically an enemy of zombies, Hazan seeks him out as an ally--as they share PARA as the same enemy.
I might just move this as a sub-plot that occurs within Act II.

☢ EARTH AU - ACT II ☢
In the AU that occurs on a normal planet Earth and in the USA.
Mal (Malcom) survives with a very small group of survivors (including Shepherd (Still Shepherd) and Corone (Corey), and they roam the apocalypse in a revived truck, scavenging from the remains of a city. They hear tell of a civilization gathering survivors from far and wide (lead by Sorodon), and head to it.
Yoa (just Yoa) shows up to still warn Mal of "Thunder", who is not a day's journey behind. Hazan shows up, also driving his own truck, though covered in alien plants. Hazan is much more threatening in this version, to the point where one cannot even look at him without hallucinating a writhing world of thrashing red tentacles and screams.
They are separated from the group and cornered at a cliff, which they leap off of and survive due to Yoa's abilities. Queue then an adventure across the wasteland as they head to Sorodon's settlement, where they hope to find refuge from Hazan, who would not dare approach such a large group of people.
☢ EARTH AU - ACT III ☢
Probably something to do with the fact that Sorodon's settlement is far from the  saving grace that they hoped for, and is actually rather messed up and totalitarian. They have to choose between Sorodon's settlement (basically slavery) or traversing the wilderness in which Hazan roams. Perhaps the previous government has recovered slightly enough to be at odds with Hazan's settlement, but they cannot dare leave it.
