Isa

     By now, a few years down the line, Isa has known the full extent of these rituals. They're difficult, painful spectacles that slowly contort him into a human over time, from the top down. He'd nearly hit completion, neck-deep in exhausted piety, when a fateful meeting changed his mind; the demons who have completed the process can be counted on one hand, but the one remaining in the world turned out to be nothing but a soulless husk, having given up its demonic soul, and thus very essence, in order to become a blankly smiling, blindly faithful drone.
    Thankfully, Isa has someone to pull him back from the brink. Rowan, the one priest with whom Isa can trust his true identity, always seems to have his back. It's been a bit rocky here and there, but let it never be said that Rowan didn't look out for Isa .... Nowadays, still sort of reeling from the loss of his life's focus, Isa tags along on Rowan's monster-slaying adventures. The future always has bizarre twists in store for them, but Isa is confident it's nothing they can't handle.

 — ABILITIES
     During his days as a nun, Isa was able to utilize various holy incantations and divinely blessed relics in order to fend off the various evils of the world. Now that he's reverted to full demon again, however, holy icons once again burn him on touch; he does seem to have gained somewhat of a resistance to holy texts used against him, but he ultimately has to rely on his demonic abilities again to defend himself for the first time in a long, long while. That being said, he's come a long way combatively since he was first helplessly rescued by Rowan, and can hold his own with relative confidence.
     Isa has been keeping his shapeshifting skills sharp as well. Necessary to blend in with the human population, he's become quite adept at adopting a human face, although his carefully-shaven horn stumps, long soft ears, and dense coat of fur all must be kept covered for his own safety. All demons have a natural, subconscious shapeshifting ability that allows them to adapt and survive to most any environment, but Isa has goals to be good enough to pass more reliably as human (and so stop having to wear full coverage in all weather). 

      - Isa is extremely sensitive to any threat of abandonment. Jokes about ditching him will be taken seriously—especially coming from Rowan, who's taken off without him before. Most every presence in Isa's life has been temporary or conditional, and he's learned better than to not take the threat seriously.
