Melody is a sea bunny hybrid who aspires to be a fashion designer someday. With a knack for creativity, she is the bunny you can rely on to pull off any artistic feats in her family. Bright, reliable and outgoing, but rather sassy, she is in-charge of taking care of her family. While her father handles all expenses, she handles food and housekeeping. 

The siblings have a complicated relationship where they do constantly annoy each other, but they are capable of making a great team if needed. Melody, despite not admitting it to Collin, cares about him deeply and is worried about what he is going to do in the future. 

History:

Melody comes from a small family residing at Bunny Cove, Lagomorph City. She lives there with her younger brother Collin, a sand bunny, and her father, who runs a beach hut at the cove. 

Melody was an outgoing and bright kid. She loved her mother dearly, and would always watch her sew, learning firsthand from her. Melody dreamt to be a fashion designer like her mother originally wanted to be. 

As years passed by, her mother became really ill. She could no longer put any strain on herself and was unable to help at the beach hut too. 

One winter, when Melody was 12 years old, her father declared that they finally had enough money to spare a trip to a city with good medical facilities so they could get their mother checked up. This kids were extremely excited as this would also be their first time witnessing snow. 

Upon arrival to the city, the family checked up on the hospital. Since their mother was not to be admitted for another two days, they decided to take a trip to a ski resort, to let the kids have a fun experience. They were ecstatic, bouncing around and marveling the sight. 

Melody, wanting to check the gift store, dragged their father with her. Collin was left at the ski hill with their mother. 

During this time however, an avalanche had struck the ski hills. Melody and her father rushed to check if everything was alright, only to find Collin near the hill, frozen in fear. They couldn't get anything out of him, and only found out everything much later when the bodies were dug out. 

Ever since then, the family was in shambles. Melody was crying, uncertain on what to do, Collin had secluded himself out of trauma, and their father was grieving and could not bring himself to open to beach hut for a while either. They spent their Christmas grieving over their loss. Despite everything that had happened, Melody was the first one to snap out of it, and finally took it upon herself to take care of her family until they could go back to living their usual lives. 

She still misses her mother dearly, and tries her best to be there for her family. After some time, she eventually took up her mother's home sewing business, trying to get some savings so she can go study someday. 

Random Facts:

• Melody is athletic and can do both land and sea sports, but prefers the former over the latter, unlike Collin. 

• Her hobbies include dancing and volleyball, and sometimes even painting. 

• Melody used to be a beach volleyball player when she was at school. Capable of going to nationals, but did not as she wanted to focus on taking care of her family and her goals in fashion designing. She still does play beach volleyball for the community club in the city, and even handles small tournaments held by the beach hut sometimes. 

• Her favourite food includes anything sweet, but she especially loves parfaits. 

• She usually works as a receptionist at the beach hut whenever she gets the time to help out. 

• The necklace she always wears was a gift from her mother, who used to wear it before passing it down to Melody. 

• Collin literally has no sense of fashion and really doesn't care much about it, so Melody gave up on him and started handling his closet for him. If you see him wearing something out of place, then that's his own fault. 

• Melody is concerned at Collin's fascination for guns and weapons. She thinks he might be trying to hurt himself one of these days, knowing he's still not over what had happened 4 years ago. 

• Melody knows a lot of people as she communicates with visitors at Bunny cove, and that is also where she first met Riley. During a beach volley tournament, Melody randomly dragged Riley to be her partner (after seeing him alone as the only one in the area without a teammate) while being unaware of his asthma, and ended up making a fool of herself. After many apologies, the two got to know each other and has been keeping touch since. They do visit each other from time to time despite living in two different cities (neighboring cities, they're about an hour away by bus).
