Rookie's Links
Before meeting: Has no idea he exists, but is very suspicious of some of Bday's behaviour as they grow up. These end up being the moments where Samael has control over their body. Eventually Samael is able to speak up about his existence at one point, albeit in a way that doesn't reveal much info. Rookie has no idea what to make of it and pushes it to the back of his mind, assuming it's just Bday having a bad mental break of some sort.
First real meeting: He is beyond shocked and confused, but eventually after a TON of thinking and learning he sort of pieces things together and pays close attention to Samael, albeit from a distance if he can.
After getting used to eachother: He still feels awkward with Samael's whole existence, since he grew up being there for Bday but wasn't able to be there for Samael. He feels inherently guilty but isn't able to understand why exactly. He tries to be the best older brother he can be for Samael.
Before being expelled: Loved him like a brother he's always known, but also was afraid of him. Experienced memories of him a lot since he's Bday's older brother, so he knows a lot about their past.
First real meeting: Still scared of him, but also immediately wants hugs and attention.
After getting used to eachother: He still feels the same, but now he's no longer afraid of him. He sometimes brings up things that happened between Rookie and Bday as if they happened with him instead. He clings to Rookie a lot, since Rookie is his older brother too, after all.
- Views himself as the more accomplished half of a very one-sided rivalry he started with them.
- He's sort of afraid of actual clowns (counting mimes) and thinks Emery has ulterior motives in moving right across from him.
- Nobody ever stays long when they move into Rookie's neighbourhood, so he's also super put-off by how long Emery has been staying. He acts like it's some form of torture bestowed upon him by fate even though Emery is literally just doing their own thing usually.
- Rookie is terrified at the logic of their pantomiming.
- Is aware of how Rookie views them but still tries to be nice to him and get closer. They want to befriend him.
- Sometimes they do like feeding into his fears, though. Even nice people can be mischievous sometimes.
- Does their best to be a nice neighbour and will interact with Rookie's loved ones sometimes when they visit. Rookie does not like that.
