Is there one for uk residents?

Unfortunately I don't know enough about UK law to make an equivalent code, but if anyone has info I'm happy to create an alternate!

Im currently having troubles with trying to get it to work on Fur Affinty, Ink Bunny, Weasyl, So Furry and furry Network. Any help is appreciated

All my codes are exclusive to Toyhou.se at present!

From what I discovered, it works on SoFurry and Weasyl. On Weasyl however it gets rid of everything besides the text

The code on Toyhouse is a weird version of HTML and arn't made to work on other websites. ^^

I'm having trouble with the code would someone help?

You might wanna update your code to your most recent user so your link works !

uhh? im pretty sure most of the people using this dont actually have legal protection from people who copy their characters but ok??

Only inasmuch as the DMCA protects them! This is more of a warning to think twice, since takedown notices exist. There are more resources in the code, if you would legitimately like to learn more!

This code and way of protection is really only for US citizens and not subjected to Europe for example

If you know of a similar protection that's more universal / applies to a different country, I'm happy to work on an alt code for that!

I could do so too, but that's just not feasible. Every country and region works differently and not even the base rules about copyright is shared equally by everyone and there are so many exceptions even with the same region. Like the right to use something for educational purposes can be denied to schools if they distribute it too openly. Like certain software or plug-ins that teachers share to their students in some cases can be seen as illegal.

That's true, but I was thinking more narrowly in terms of artistic intellectual property in cases where fair use is unlikely to cover! The DMCA is far from the be-all-end-all even in the USA. I am simply unsure whether any DMCA-equivalents exist elsewhere in the world, in a way that could be plugged in to this code.

I'm willing to make alternatives for more countries, if I can get the information - this feels like a bad-faith interpretation of my curious question. All copyright questions have large gray areas, and this is intended as boilerplate and not a legal defense (I am not an individual with a law degree).

Hopefully this clarifies what I was originally asking for in terms of copyright law!

I'm really sorry if it came over as negative, I'm not been feeling well lately and it seems to bleed through my presence everywhere. I know what you mean though. I would point to documents in the EU, like the GDPR law, but honestly I've just had a semester of copyright law because I'm a digital designer and it was part of our courses. So even if I sounded pompous, I am by no means a lawyer/person with any strong knowledge about law. Still I do think it's a fun code that opens conversation about copyright.

Used! Thank you so much for making this!

Idk if I did it right but I'm hopeing I did. Thank you so much this helps out a lot.

hi! I'm planning on using this code, don't know how 2 comment on the forum post though so here :)

Hey that's a really neat little code but just saying, if you have toyhouse in dark mode the C and border appear white like this :

unknown.png

so I think maybe you should manually force it black so it stay theme friendly ? just a suggestion tho... ;v;

not sure about anyone else, but for me the code just says 'copyright law' and nothing else :/

You copy the HTML code which you can find in the "code" tab which is in the sidebar.

Np! ^^

Sorry can you elaborate on that? I clicked on the code tab on the upper right corner with all the other tabs but it just brings me to your character folder. Am I doing something wrong?
