She was an only child and was raised by very strict parents. They did not allow her to do most extra curricular activities and made her focus on her grades and schoolwork. She never had any friends growing up and did her best to please her parents. She graduated high school with stellar grades and was able to get into a very good university. She moved out of her parents to attend university, studying psychology. She graduated with her bachelors and then onto medical school and a residency to work as a psychiatrist. She met her first wife in med school and they got married when she was 29. Following their marriage Daphne graduated with a PhD at 34 and had their daughter Eve at 36. When Daphne was 38 she came out as trans to her wife. This caused a huge rift in their marriage and they divorced the following year. Her wife had full custody of their child and since then Daphne hasn't seen her daughter Eve. Unhappy in all aspects of her life she took a year off work and travelled around Europe. After her year off Daphne got a job at a university in Vancouver and moved over there. She worked as a psychiatrist on the side. During her psychiatry job she met Qamar who was doing their residency. They became quite good friends and Daphne invited Qamar to be their research partner at the university.
