Verrite is nervous about things and often express this. Their fragile nature makes them interpret everything else as such too, and therefor revealing weaknesses that can be exploited by others. After the Sky Guardians attack, their nervous nature is heightened as they believe the Sky Guardians are sadistic beings who want to take advantage of this. They’re often overbearing and nervous to the point where it becomes overwhelming and they tend to wrap others up to keep them safe.
Note:
Verrite is based on the mineral vandenbrandeite, which I thought was pretty but is named after a Belgian guy who lived during the occupation of the Democratic Republic of Congo and died there in 1957 and while little information is found on him, I'm not comfortable with a mineral being named after a colonialist (especially one linked to the Belgian occupation in DRCongo). So I renamed it verrite after "verre", French for "glass" (because it looks like green glass of bottles).

[ Leader/Parental Figure ] Verrite was the first to emerge after Mother had gone dormant. Verrite never met her and was the first to be taught by the other Gems how to read, write, and speak. They were introduced to Mother however.
