Verin takes the term "ghost hunter" more literally than one might think. Verin subscribes to the belief that the presense of spirits can have a strong negative impact on mortals who are near them for extended periods of time, causing both physical and mental harm. Therefore, Verin wants to banish spirits from places where mortals are, and in some cases send them back to the afterlife. Verin and his beliefs aren't taken very seriously by others, and he's seen as pretty goofy, but Verin certainly doesn't see themself that way.
Overall, Verin is pretty calm, but is also rather easily excitable when it comes to their interests. It's not hard to whip them into a frenzy about ghost hunting and the paranormal. Verin is a very understanding and patient person, but they are also very adament and stubborn about their beliefs, goals, and aspiraitons. They don't take any bullshit, and are able to shake off other people's bullying and teasing with ease- they are sure of themself, and they don't let other people stop them from doing what they love. Because of this, they are also very good at standing up for themself- they are unafraid of making their needs and feelings known. For example, with KJ, they are always able to let KJ know when she takes teasing too far. Verin strongly values honesty, both for themself and the people around them. They will tell you how it is, not what you want to hear.
FashionVerin is a big fan of fall and Halloween aesthetics, and likes to wear collars and other accessories decorated in Halloween inspired patterns. They almost always wear very casual clothing, such as flannels, jeans, and cargo pants. They especialyl like cargo pants because of the amount of things they can hold in the pockets. Verin prefers more natural, duller colors compared to brighter ones.

KJ [ Best friend ]
KJ and Verin are a bit of an unlikely pair, considering the contrast between Verin's rather calm and civil nature, versus KJ's wild and rude one. The two make a good pair though, and they balance each other out. Verin find KJ's energy refreshing and fun, and KJ finds Verin's energy relaxing and comforting. The two are often mistaken for a couple because of the way they act around each other- while they might not say "I love you" or hold hands, they spend a lot of time around each other and often talk about the other when they aren't there. They seem to know what the other is thinking without saying anything, and know how to best comfort each other.
Verin deeply values KJ, as KJ is someone who indulges them in their ghost hunting, and enjoys it and comes along with them. Before KJ, it had been a long time of being on thier own, and so they always appreciate the company of someone who takes them seriously. They know KJ isn't as passionate about ghost hunting as Verin is and is more along for the ride, but Verin doesn't really mind. KJ listens to him and doesn't make fun of him, and that's often enough for him to be content. He finds KJ's sarcastic and teasing behavior pretty funny most of the time, and appreciates that KJ always listens to him and cares about what he has to say.
