Adohira lives with his family who works at a rice paddy. His father did work as a rice farmer, but left on a trip and came back with a new occupation. He became a demon slayer and told him about it. His father was trained by a line of slayers from the Usamu family. Adohira was very interested in it and wanted to join. His mother and aunt was against the idea. Soon after, his father disappears and never returns. His mother came down with a terminal illness and couldn't work anymore. He was still interested in becoming a slayer, and went on to try and find the Usamu household to get trained, only to be met with disappointment. The family stopped with the slayer business. Adohira went on to find a new teacher, and passed the final selection at 16. He wanted to be a hero to people and protect them from demons!! Unfortunately, in the future, his mother ends up being killed by an Upper Moon that Adohira was fighting. He feels immediate regret as his aunt blames her death on him and states he's just the same as his father and will end up dead like him. Adohira retires for a bit but he'll eventually come back..
