Basics
Vango is a former Task Manager who has been banished into the Cleyrec Nib River as a result of disobeying her Task Manager orders. She lives at the bottom of the Cleyrec Nib River, and wishes that she would someday return to the surface. Occasionally, she would treat any sad ENAs that have fallen into the river, and bring them back to the surface once they’re mentally prepared.

Personality
Neutral: Vango is well-mannered and takes on a sophisticated demeanor. Due to her experience as a Task Manager, she is fairly wise and educated on the anatomy of an ENA. However, she can be demanding and brutally honest as a result of growing up as a Task Manager. She is aware of how her past influenced her behavior, so she tries her best to be forgiving, gentle, and calm. Ever since her banishment, she has gained the desire to help others who have fallen into her river in order to make up for her past.
Strict: She becomes strict, cold-hearted, demanding, irritable, and lawful. This side is inherited from her past as a Task Manager. It is triggered whenever someone shows unacceptable behavior to the point where it irks her. It is also triggered when her Sappy side gets out of control.
Sappy: She may become excited, overprotective, clingy, melodramatic, or overwhelmingly supportive. This side is triggered when she encounters a new person in the river, or when she notices that someone is sad. It has formed thanks to the souls of the other ENAs in the river.
Fully Strict: When both of Vango’s sides are in mutual agreement to become angry, she can temporarily become a full Task Manager once again. She temporarily regains her ability to summon branches and absorb the life out of her target. This may occur when someone she loves is being harmed or endangered.
Story
Vango was a Task Manager who has mercilessly deleted many “malfunctional” ENAs throughout her life. Like any other Task Manager, she was raised to believe that her species was "superior" to ENAs, and that it was her responsibility to "correct" them. She never enjoyed this lifestyle due to its constant pressure and lack of freedom. After unexpectedly forming a meaningful (but forbidden) relationship with an ENA, she realized the true grim nature of her job. She tried to convince the other Task Managers that deleting ENAs was wrong, but they refused to listen. In fact, the other Task Managers thought that she was “weak” and “worthless” for feeling this way. Due to this "disobedience," the Task Managers decided to banish Vango into the Cleyrec Nib River - where abandoned ENA souls are usually stored.
Unexpectedly, Vango is reincarnated because her cape absorbed the souls' energy from the river. However, her appearance became distorted, and she has unlocked a new set of virtues. The river's spiritual nature have also lightened up her heart. She woke up inside of the river with an extreme sense of regret, guilt, and remorse. Hence why she has a merciful, forgiving, and kind personality. She always feels the need to help and care for others in fear of making a mistake. Essentially, she has become repurposed.
Throughout most of her time, she lives in the Cleyrec Nib River realm. There would occasionally be sad/depressed ENAs who would fall into the river, so Vango treats and consoles them until they’re ready to go back to the surface again. She also gets visitors from the surface who simply enjoy her company. However, these visitors cannot stay for too long, or else they might become distorted as well.
Vango wants to return to the surface one day. However, her life relies on the souls of the river. If she were to exit, she would not survive very long. Instead, she spends her time underwater staring at the souls' happiest life memories - as if they were TV shows. Watching these happy memories make her wish she had a life of an ENA instead, not a Task Manager.

Skills and Abilities
- Levitation - Vango can hover the air at will. She also uses this ability to help fallen ENAs get back to the surface.
- Deletion (rarely used) - If she enters her “Fully Strict” side, she can have a glare that summons branches from the ground, forcefully grabbing her target. The branches absorb the life away from the target, making them officially “deleted.” Vango is aware of the graveness of this ability, so she plans to use it for good intentions only (such as defending loved ones.) This ability requires immense power, so it leaves her feeling exhausted afterwards.
- Singing - Vango loves to sing songs that intend to soothe the wellbeing of others. She usually goes for gentle songs such as lullabies.
- Cape - Vango’s cape is the only source that is keeping her alive under the Cleyrec Nib River. If she has visitors from the surface, she allows them to touch her cape in order for them to stay alive. Removing the cape results in [REDACTED].
- Knowledge - Task Managers are typically expected to be knowledgeable (mostly on the anatomy, psychology, and history of an ENA. Other fields of knowledge are encouraged as well.) Since Vango was a former Task Manager, she was no exception to this norm.
TRIVIA
- Vango's design is (obviously) inspired by Van Gogh's "Starry Night" painting.
- Despite having powers, Vango is physically weak due to the distortion from the Cleyrec Nib River.
- She is 7 inches taller than the Joel G's Ena.
- Her cape smells like fresh b a n a n a b r e a d.
- The cape is also warm as if it had a built-in heater.
- Therefore, w a r m b a k e d b a n a n a b r e a d.
- Her yellow cheeks are warm, but they become red and extremely hot if she becomes flustered.
- "Moon River" by Audrey Hepburn and "You Will Be Okay" by Sam Haft would be her favorite songs.
- She wishes to get rid of her Strict side completely, but never figures out how.
- Despite being physically distorted, nothing about Vango's memory was distorted. However, the only memory that was distorted is her own name.
- Vango is not her true name. Her real name is "Agony," but has been distorted as a result of being exposed to the Cleyrec Nib River.
- The name "Agony" is nearly an anagram for "Vango," expect the 'V' and 'Y' do not correlate. This is because her memory has not only distorted the letter order, but also got rid of the line under the 'Y,' making it look like a 'V' instead.
- Vango does not require basic human needs such as eating and breathing, hence why she lives under a river realm without complaints.
- However, she does require social interaction with others in order to maintain a stable wellbeing.
