- One of Hajime's hobbies is exercising, which is why he has so much muscle. However, he doesn't like to gain more muscle because some of his clothes don't fit anymore.
- Despite his scary appearance and intimidating deep voice, Hajime's an overall chill guy. His coworkers would often talk about how they expect Hajime to yell at them when they make a mistake, but Hajime's just scolds them calmly and allows them to fix their mistakes.
- Hajime has zero romantic experiences. He never dated or confessed to a man since he always stayed in the closet. Because of this, Hajime doesn't have a specific type in men. As long as they're kind, faithful, and someone he can get along with, Hajime will go out with them.
- Hajime's good with kids since he always wanted to have kids. Even though children are intimidated by his appearance, as soon as Hajime opens his mouth, children feel relaxed and safe with him.
Hajime was born in Tokyo and lived a normal childhood. His parents took good care of him and he always played with other kids. Despite his scary face, he fitted in with the other kids. He studied well and he made some good friends. However, Hajime felt out of place whenever people talk about love. At first, Hajime assumed he just didn't have any interest in love, but he then had his first love in college.
Hajime never tried to make a move on him since he didn't want to risk being hated by his own friends, so he hid his feelings. He always stayed in the closet and it was tiring having to listen to his parents say he'll have a wife in the future. When Hajime turned 25, his parents pressured him to get married, even going as far as to make him go on matchmaking meetings. This of course frustrated Hajime, and no matter how well he got along with the women, he turns down all of them. His parents berate him for being unmarried at his age and instead of fighting back, Hajime stayed silent.
He knew that arguing back to his parents would be like talking to a wall, so he stopped talking to them by ignoring their calls and such. Hajime was already living alone at this point, but he plans to move to another apartment, so he moved without telling his parents. After ignoring them for a long time, Hajime's parents text him, apologizing for pressuring him and Hajime told them that he doesn't want them to bring up this topic anymore. His parents eventually stopped after they reconciled with Hajime. Hajime felt childish ignoring them like that, but he hated how they didn't consider his feelings.
Even though Hajime's parents don't know about their son's orientation, Hajime can't bring himself to open up to them. He's a working adult living in an apartment by himself, but he fears that his parents will throw him away. Hajime's relationship with his parents is still rocky and Hajime doesn't want to ruin the bond they have right now. Hajime is still hurt by his parents' actions and he doesn't want to be mad at them anymore, he wants to feel the precious family bond again.
Almost in his 40s, Hajime's sad that he couldn't give his parents grandkids. Hell, he's sad that he still doesn't even have a lover. Thinking that he'll be alone til death, his best friend, Kei brings him to a gay bar. As soon as Hajime stepped into the bar, he felt at home. Knowing that it's a gay bar, Hajime could be open about his struggles. Somehow, coming into the bar often makes him feel at ease...
