known as the pillar of the Earth, Atlas has the monumental task of holding the heavens and the earth separate and has done for eons. he's seen the pain and suffering that humans and creatures alike have experienced and through this, his own emotions have been repressed. his faith in humanity has been lost and so has his meaning in life - solely existing to carry out his meaningless task that he was brought to this universe for. to him, you're born into your destiny and nothing can diverge the path you're set on that the universe has prescribed for you.
this was all until he met Trillium.
at first he despised everything about Trill. her carefree actions whilst knowing she was bound to this destiny of taking over the light of the moon from Callisto repulsed him. he simply couldn't see how she could live like this and be content with herself. by luck, these 2 would keep bumping into one another and over time Trill taught Atlas happiness with oneself and contentment. he was able to see that this wasn't a forced happiness as when she opened her eyes he could see the pain and burden she carried when she got angry or extremely serious. but what changed him was the fact that despite this burden she still would not succumb to her destiny. Atlas began to see the meaning in the life he lived again through the help of Trill and their lives as the daughter of the moon and the pillar of the earth remained intertwined for eternity.
