Flamboyant, dramatic, and cocky are what best describe the effeminate Crusadermon. Ribbons finds beauty in many things and will not hesitate to let you know how wonderful and beautiful he thinks he is. He is a fellow comrade of Veevay’s in the Royal Knights, and he loves to tease said comrade given his polarizing calm and serious nature. At first Ribbons isn’t interested in Eikou, being more concerned with restoring his own pride and getting revenge on those who humiliated him. After he is forced to de-digivolve to Meicoomon and Eikou stands by him does he learn a little humility and begins to relate to her, especially after she reveals her own trauma and the two become official partners. During their quest, they both learn to lower their masks and be more honest with their feelings, even asking for help when they need it despite their fear of being looked down upon.

Crusadermon is one of the Royal Knights created by Yggdrasil, who are led by Alphamon. Shortly after their creation, infected digimon from an unknown world start invading the Digital World. After investigating the source, the Royal Knights launched an attack to end the threat, however all of them are immediately overpowered. Crusadermon and the weakened Knights attempt to flee through a portal (not knowing where it led, just to get out of danger), but after landing in the Real World, the wounded Crusadermon concludes he must’ve been the only one to make it. Infuriated over his defeat and his wounded pride, he resolves to get his revenge. He goes into hiding to plan his next move and after deducing that the infected digimon are invading the Real World as well, decides to wait until the next attack to hop into the portal they’re using to get back.

After a week of waiting, his chance finally comes. As he’s fighting the infected digimon, he is surprised to find a girl and a Veemon jump into the fight beside him, the Veemon claiming to be Magnamon, one of his missing Royal Knight comrades. After defeating the enemy digimon, but losing his chance to hop through the portal, Crusadermon catches up with the newly christened Veevay and agrees to join forces with him and his new Tamer Eikou since their goals align for now. Crusadermon obtains the nickname “Ribbons” after complaining that his comrade got a nickname but he didn’t. Unfortunately, that was the best Eikou could come up with on the spot, much to Crusadermon's dismay at the lack of creativity.
