Leslie is a hopeless romantic. He wants to live his life like a play. Speaking beautiful words, having passionate romances with beautiful people, facing painful heartbreak, and coming back from it or ending it all quite tragically. Leslie thinks he has seen more tragedy in his sorry life, and is desperately waiting for the happy end. He always hopes for the best, but he's getting older, and it's getting harder and harder to achieve some of his dreams.

Leslie has an air of arrogance around him, but do not forget that often times the most arrogant people are also the most insecure. Leslie tries not to let his insecurities show outwardly. He carries himself with confidence and always has conviction in his voice.

History

Born (April 23rd 1929) in Wales and raised there until until his teen years, when his father moved the family to Surrey for a job. Leslie was happy with this because that moved them closer to London, where it'd be easier for him to pursue an acting career. But in the meantime, he watched over his young neighbor, Charles, as he finished his schooling to make a few bucks.

He trained, practiced, rehearsed, and took voice lessons to get rid of the accent he was ashamed of. By the time he got to uni, he and Charles had gotten very close. But Leslie's life was consumed with his craft and he became very busy, not seeing Charles as much anymore, and they drifted apart after Leslie brought home his talented dancer girlfriend from uni, Elisa. As they were both artistic and passionate people, it didn't take them long to get engaged. 

Leslie's parents, while they supported the arts, were not so confident that a couple of artists would be able to support each other and make themselves a proper home. They urged Leslie to have a back up plan. And with reluctance, he got his teaching degree as well. Elisa was not a fan of this. It felt like Leslie was giving up on his dreams. They began to fight constantly.

In the end, Elisa married Leslie's over-achieving brother, Leo. Leslie was crushed. For a few years, he didn't have the heart to pursue acting, so he went with his back-up plan of teaching to support himself until he got his muse back. 

Years passed, and he's still a teacher. His acting bug came back with a powerful itch, but he couldn't catch a break. His life had fallen into a rut, something he never imagined for himself. 

Leslie does enjoy teaching, but more often than not, he doesn't like his students and has very little patience with them. They don't have the same passion he does for the craft! He'd enjoy his career much more if his students put in an effort. He's worked at the same school for decades, and wishes he put more effort in his teaching degree himself so he could teach at a University or an acting school, instead of just herding around young students who just want an easy grade. But he truly never thought he'd end up here. 

Leslie still auditions quite frequently and gets into low budget productions. As long as he's on the stage, he's happy, but it is his dream to be in a big budget production of Hamlet, starring as Hamlet himself of course.

Relationships

Charles gregory 

His childhood best friend. When they were kids, they were neighbors. Leslie and Charles have always been complete opposites, but it makes there discussions much more interesting. Leslie enjoys teasing his ol' stick-in-the-mud friend and telling him about the pleasures of the world that Charles denies himself. 

LEOPOLD PARIS 

Older brother. Leslie resents Leo for always being better at everything. Leo has a bit of a rotten attitude towards Leslie too, thinking he's a little pathetic after all of Leslie's big promises of fame. Leo on the other hand achieved his dreams and success.....and you know, he stole his fiancé.
