Introduction 路 路 路
A young traveller who is always seen with a well-groomed chicken.
The sole survivor of a seemingly extinct race of dragons, Mei Ling set off on a journey to learn more about her heritage and uncover the reason why they were wiped out in the first place. She's constantly on the move, drifting from place to place and paying a visit to derelict ruins of former Lung civilisations along the way. The chicken by her side is actually her mentor.

Personality 路 路 路
Full of youth and vigour, Mei Ling has a sunny disposition and optimistic outlook on life. Rather than sit around and lament over being the last of her kind, the young dragon is instead determined to unravel the mystery behind their disappearance. To stop herself from dwelling on solitude, Mei Ling busies herself with making sure to greet everyone she meets with a warm smile.

A ball of positive energy, it's rare to see the little dragon without a smile on her face.
Naive at heart
Mei Ling always tries to believe in the best of everyone but is often easily duped by more conniving individuals.
Tech wizard
Perhaps its in her blood, but Mei Ling works well with technology. She can discern the workings and function of a device she's never seen before in mere seconds.
Shrewd haggler
Always travelling on a light budget, she's unafraid to negotiate with merchants and will never settle for an unfair exchange.

Backstory 路 路 路
A traveller without a place to call home, Mei Ling lives a nomadic life, travelling from place to place alongside Chunyan, her guardian and mentor. She earns her bread by taking on whatever odd jobs she can find, which mostly commonly ends up being monster hunting. Her tiny build betrays her true strength. Even without the help of her massive sword, Mei Ling can easily knock out a man twice her size or punch a dent into a mountainside if she so desired.
She is currently on a quest to learn about her heritage and find out what happened that led to the Lung and everything they created almost entirely disappearing from existance. Under Chunyan's guidance and direction, Mei Ling is making her way across the land, paying visits to archives, libraries and old ruins to see what information she can glean from them.
History 路 路 路
Mei Ling knows nearly nothing about her family, nor her people.
Surviving long past the war that decimated the Lung, Mei Ling hatched into the world blissfully unaware that she was the last of her kind.
Under Chunyan's care, the little dragon was raised to be strong and hardy. The man had no intention of pausing his traveller's life just because he suddenly had a newly hatched child in his custody. The moment Mei Ling could walk and talk, he taught her the necessary life skills to survive out in the rough. An intelligent girl, she learned quickly and immediately took his way of life into her stride.
Growing up, Mei Ling slowly came to the realisation that she seemed to be something of an outlier. Wherever she travelled, she was regarded as a rare or unusual sight by the locals. When she finally asked Chunyan what they meant by that, he plainly told her the truth - that dragons were supposedly extinct and she was almost certainly the last one in existence.

"I'm sure."
Mei Ling knows that Chunyan knows more about what happened to the dragons than he lets on. He knows where to take her to find traces of the past, and for now she's content to piece things together herself. The little dragon believes her Sifu has his reasons and hopes that one day he'll trust her enough to open up and tell her what she needs to know.

Mei Ling's mentor and also the one who raised her. She holds a lot of respect for Chunyan, referring to him as her Sifu.
Despite his rather "hands-off" approach to her training, the little dragon trusts him with her life, never doubting his decisions. She believes that he will always come to her rescue if things get too sticky.
Something of an enigma, Mei Ling is curious about the man who claims to be Chunyan's lover.
She isn't quite sure of his intentions when he showers her with gifts and attention whenever they bump into each other, but she doesn't think he's a bad guy. Tentatively calls him "Uncle".
A good friend!
Mei Ling is always delighted to see them whenever they cross paths during their travels. She always looks forward to hearing stories of their travels around the realm, and is eager to share her own with them.
