An entrepreneurial fox spirit who has garnered far too much wealth to spend.
Even after gaining enough divinity to reach the coveted status of a nine-tailed fox, Fu Fong has no desire to ascend to the heavens, instead being perfectly happy mingling in the mortal world. After setting up a tech company on a whim, he would go on to become CEO of one of the world's biggest technology giants (although all the latest technology in the world is no use in helping him track down his incredibly elusive husband).

What Fu fong wants, Fu Fong gets. An incredibly selfish and self-serving man, he is no stranger to using underhanded techniques to get his way, no matter what the cost. Although he is sly and conniving, Fu Fong is incredibly faithful towards his family, and sees nothing better to do with his wealth than to spoil them with it whenever they happen to meet.
Money man
Fu Fong's greatest power is probably his unlimited bank balance. No price tag is too expensive for him.
Shapeshifter
As a fox spirit, the art of shifting his appearance comes naturally to him. His true form is that of a fox.
Tech wizard
Handy with tech, Fu Fong is an active learner and has decades of knowledge packed into his head.
Busybody
His schedule packed to the brim, Fu Fong is always on the move - going from one meeting to the next. He values his clients and often goes out of his way to greet them personally.

A cunning businessman, Fu Fong's daily routine mostly consists of attending meetings back to back and taking work calls. Although he is less involved in the research and development process of tech these days, he continues to proactively network with potential partners and clients, forever seeking more prosperity for his business and more money for his bank account.
In his downtime between work, he normally dedicates his time towards trying to track his wandering husband down. This is no easy task - Fu Fong's beloved is a hermit by nature and depises technology, so he has no way of contacting him when he's on his various ventures. Despite this, Fu Fong tries anyway, persisting out of sheer love and desire to meet his love, even if it takes several centuries at times...

In the distant past, Fu Fong liked to live leisurely - he would deceive, bewilder and steal. With masterful control over illusionary and a keen eye to pick out the more dim-witted and unsuspecting, the fox was never in shortage of qi to feast on.
One day however, Fu Fong decided to shoot his shot somewhere a little further out of reach. Enamoured with the poise and elegance of a certain phoenix war lord as he ruthlessly cut down dragons on the battlefield, he became curious of what the qi from a divine beast could possibly taste like.
Fully aware of the risk to his life, Fu Fong approached the man, inviting him to "indulge" him just for a night. To his immediate surprise, the phoenix accepted his offer. Fu Fong could not have predicted that what he thought would be a brief dalliance would carve a lasting mark deep into his heart, leaving him longing for more.
From that moment on, Fu Fong decided to one-sidedly dedicate his everything to Chunyan. He would've been happy dying without ever having his feelings reciprocated, but somewhere along the way inbetween saving the man's life and waiting for a war to pass, it turned out that Chunyan had developed a similar fondness for Fu Fong. Once again, the phoenix surprised the fox by suggesting they elope somewhere far away.
For some time, Fu Fong accompanied Chunyan on his travels, but he would eventually part ways. He decided to settle down and build a new home, a place where his beloved husband could return to now that he was estranged from his birthplace.

Fu Fong relentlessly showers the phoenix with his affections and wishes he would make more of an effort to keep in touch, though he respects his husband's primal urges to lose himself on a random farm in the countryside for a few centuries at a time.
Adopted daughter!
Though initially hostile towards the kid, Fu Fong did an immediate 180 upon discovering she was adopted by Chunyan. Now he smothers her with attention whenever they get a chance to meet and spoils her rotten (when she lets him).
