Putra hails from a tiny, secluded fishing village in the farthest reaches of ■■■■. Growing up in a stifling, conservative environment, Putra had to bury much of his own thoughts and feelings in order to fit in. It wasn't until his early 20s, after the death of his mother, that he left his village to embark on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.

Putra is a modest and humble man, preferring not to stand out amongst the crowd. He has a deep love for cooking, ingrained in him by his late mother. He often collects herbs and ingredients on his travels, preserving and storing them carefully to use in his next meal on the road. His passion for food is closely matched by his love for books and fiction. Tales of tragic romance are by far his favorite to read, and he also has a keen interest in teacher-student dynamics, though he is embarrassed to admit this aloud.

His body type is not bulky, but he is a trained martial artist, so he still has a fit and toned body.
Both his eyes and hair are a very dark brown.
Putra's headgear is called a tanjak/tengkolok, a traditional Malay headgear for men. The kind Putra wears is very simple, and the fabric he uses is a slightly worn square of patterned cotton.

Putra's character motifs are the deep greens of plants and nature, the earthy browns of soil; leaves and sprouts growing out of the earth, dappled sunlight through foliage, and the calm of dawn. His representative animal is kancil, the lesser mouse-deer, while his representative flower is bunga jenjarum, the jungle geranium.

Putra chooses to travel lightly, carrying with him only a meagre set of spare clothing, a few trusty utensils for cooking, his seruling, a hand-sewn set of batu seremban nestled in a pouch, his quarterstaff, his keris (only used as a tool, never as a weapon), and a growing collection of books. Alongside these items, there is also a curious little black wooden box with a white lotus carved on its lid.

An exiled pendekar that Putra met some years after he left his home village to wander the realm. He stayed with Mansoor for some time, seeking to further his martial skills under the older man's tutelage. Their bond grew more and more intimate, until Putra ran away without warning one day. More than a year passed before he would return to Mansoor's side to confront his feelings.

The pair bonded through their shared interest in books, and the experiences in their past which shaped them. The two eventually had to part ways, but Putra regards Ouyang as a dear friend, and one of his closest confidantes.
