KH/ (Rinka)

As the 88^th Hōin, Rinka now resides within the sprawling Honzan Temple complex in the Land of Iron. Her election two years ago, at the tender age of 22, was an upset to her, as she did not nominate herself. It was one part a joke from a friend, one part not wanting a known Shie sect member to be at the head of the family when Uzushio was just blossoming once again, but mostly because Rinka was known as a legendary budgeter who had the unique ability to wring the most out of small amounts of cash and that was something the monks and nuns of Hogen could get behind. Within the first few months at the helm of the Kamakura Temple System, she was somehow able to free up enough money to bankroll the Shinobi Games and the prizes, with ample funding to spare, without compromising on Kamakura values or craftmanship.

A former chunin of Konohagakure, Rinka has quite a soft spot for both her home village, as well as the recently re-established Uzushiogakure, seeing as she served during World War 3 with many Uzumakis who call the resurrected village home.

Personality and Appearance

There is much to be said about the the new head of the clan. One of the things most obvious things is her positive, outgoing demeanor. Because of her affable, present-minded personality, it comes as a surprise that she's so patient with people, willing to help teach and explain things multiple times without showing any frustration.

She also really, really enjoys explosions and fire. And the con scene. That's kind of how she ended up on the radar of the greater Kamakura community because it's not often that someone can drop several million ryo at once to treat her friends to a good time.

Rinka is a constant stream of support to her friends and allies, while a bane to those she feels are advesaries. She can't find it in her to truly hate someone (not yet at least), but she can feel great loathing.

Overall, Rinka thinks highly of humanity, believing that while they're capable of great wrongs, they are more wired to do great things for others. She generally hopes that people opt to do their best and help others rather than hur them. She believes that choices matter, but bad decisions don't mean the end of the line. Rinka does not like the idea of life being pre-ordained, that the end result is always inevitable, and is more than happy to punch someone spouting about howe everything is fated.

Shinobi Stats

Rinka always had high marks in taijutsu - likely due to her upbringing in the temple system - and above average in ninjutsu, but her ability to craft genjutsu was well below average. She can make a very basic henge and can break them (but only with Kamakura techniques) and that's about it. Because of this, she's skeptical of her eyesight and prefers using her other senses in tandem to know what's real and not although part of this is that she's far sighted and only just found out about it as an adult.

Her love of explosions is well known and it came at no surprise that she chakra leans towards the Fire Nature. Somehow, any jutsu she performs can explode... even when it shouldn't be possible. This includes her one and only attempt at a water jutsu... Never again...

Rinka is also knowledgable in fuinjutsu, although her most used techniques are the figner carving seal and fire sealing method. The latter was taught to her by her first jōnin instructor because, well, she ended up setting a lot of things on fire and it just made sense.

She is highly profecient in the Kamakura hiden techniques.

Childhood

Growing up, Rinka was a ward of Konoha's Kamakura Temple. It's not known if she's a foundling who was taken in by the monks and nuns, or if her parents were practicioners who left her there, but her earliest memories are of watching the Hōgen, returning from a stay at the main temple, making paper airplanes and flying them across the room towards the children of the temple.

Rinka joined the academy as soon as she was allowed.

Shinobi World War 3

Like many in her generation, Rinka was fast-tracked out of the academy and put onto the front lines. ____

Towards the latter parts of the war, she and Akane became teammates, a friendship that still remains to this day.

Post-War Life

After the war, it was time to repair all that was broken. Rinka settled into life as a chuunin, mostly taking courier missions around the shinobi nations.

She was very frustrated by the events surrounding the war and is still shaken by the amount of death she saw and helped bring about, especially as she's a close/midrange fighter. Because she does not want to see another war break out, Rinka has put her all into encouraging international cooperation (i.e. the Shinobi Games and her vocal support of Uzushio).
