Cayl and Emma looks like an odd pair. She doesn't look a day above 20 and he looks like he could easily be in his mid 60's. This is however jsut because Emma likes looking very young, cute and not threatening, whereas Cayl doesn't care much. In reality they are both vrey old and Emma might even be the older of the two of them, when it comes down to actual numbers.
To many people, Emma and Cayl seems like an odd pair, not only visually, but also the fact that they are never ever affectionate or loving in public. Their conversations are curt, polite and-- empty? Like there's no hostility either. Nothing. It's as if they are strangers living in the same house. This however amongst King Devils is very normal. Showing emotion publically is seen as pretty taboo and while that tradition has kind of died out, much in the same way as the lineage, Emma and Cayl are just very traditional. In truth Emma and Cayl are quite openly affectionate when they are alone. Perhaps this also contributes to their want of not wanting to be around others. Emma loves her husband a lot, despite the fact that he's a tired old man who just doens't want to do much and would appreciate being left in a bed forever. Was it not for the fact that he has to work as well and for the fact that he equally weirdly loves his little doll of a wife, he definitely would just sleep his every hour away. Together they make an absolutely horrible power couple, who has stayed alived for many centuries and will do so for many more to come.
Emma and Cayl love each other a lot, they just find that they get each other in a way others doesn't. Two pretty bad people who jsut wants to dislike the world together and hide away in their own self-made paradise. Cayl takes time out of his sleep schedule to be with Emma and make her happy and in turn she takes time out of her busy nitpicky decorating schedule to snuggle up with her husband.

Emma doesn't like her Nephew - She's always been pretty open about that. After her sisters death, she would have let him figure out life alone or let someone else take care of him, was it not because she had already taken an unfortunae vow to take care of him. No one, absolutely no one, liked that arrangement. Emma was a manipulative, nelectful and abusive aunt, but to be fairly honest it could be-- much worse, compared to the general culture of King Devils. Their relationship really helped build the coldhearted character that Lucifer would become in his young adolecense. That said, he doesn't really hold anything against her. Lucifer recognizes that she is a horrible lady and that she doesn't deserve his help, but at the same time, he doesn't really care too much. As long as she doesn't stick her nose inhis business and do the job she needs to do, he's content.

Emma and Verica didn't at all have a close relationship. Emma used to look down on Verica a lot and- oh who am I kidding. She still does that. She pities Verica for being stuck with clearly more annoying of the Baal brothers and on top of that, Verica have so many kids that the lineage is basically saved for another couple of hundres years because of her. Emma feels kinda bad that her sister is such a weirdo, but she supposes she can't complain too much. Not her life, not her business. Of course she becomes quite annoyed when Verica then goes ahead and lets herself be killed by one of her sons, leaving the other snotty-nosed child in her care. Being a stickler for family tradition, Emma took her son, Lucifer in. Even in deaht, Verica continues to inconvenience her. Great.

Ugh. Well she'll give it to him - at least Charles' youngest son, Eric, did the world a favor when he got rid of him. She supposes that's a plus.

Emma doesn't at all approve of Lucifer's partner, but she wasn't going to either way, so like, no surprise there. She doesn't like his low status - he's not even a full Devil?? Of course Lucifer is just as more as a shameless tramp like his mom, whom also got a bunch of kids with nobodies. Drue comes across as pretty soft and gullible, so that doesn't inspire a lot of respect from her side. The only thing she kinda likes about Drue is that he once helped Cayl from getting hurt. Whilst a small gesture of kindness that Drue didn't even think much about, it takes balls to rush over and support an infamously very grumpy and triggerhappy man wiht a gun from collapsing. Like he's positively a idiotic moron with no sense of self-preservation, but she can appreciate the fact that the person he helped was the love of her life. It makes him slightly more tolerable. Slightly.
