Johnny Baby

- Johnny is very expressive, verbally and physically. He gestures a lot, is noisy, and makes a lot of strong, wild facial expressions.
- Despite often wearing many layers, it's apparent that he's lanky. The only part of him that's not nearing bony in structure is his belly-- barely a bit soft.
- He has deep brown eyes, almost black. They don't seem to catch a lot of light due to how lidded they are. Has thick, bushy eyebrows that hang low.
- With fluffy dark brown hair with an ever-so-slight curl here and there-- it varies in length and style often, but he never grows it out past his chin. He tries to act like he treats it nonchalantly, but he puts quite a lot of effort into its effortless!
- Always seems to be smirking or smiling... Even when he's upset or very angry.
- He's Very hairy, all over. No matter how often he shaves and with what tools, he can't get rid of the facial hair 'shadow'.
   Only lets it grow out if he's isolating himself out of depression lol.
- He'd never show or admit this to anyone, but he has a pair of huge glasses he uses in privacy-- he's nearsighted!
- And most important... He's careless with his clothes; almost everything he owns are hand-me-downs from his siblings and cousins.
   Sometimes, he'll borrow outfits or clothes from various relatives.
- He's meticulous about looking nice and clean. He is often seen with various gold accessories (rings, bracelets, necklaces), oftentimes a catholic motif.

- You'll know you're dealing with Johnny when you find a feisty young guy acting very important 'for the fuck of it'.
- He's seemingly charismatic and has a playful personality at face value.
   Is known to be great at holding small talk with strangers.
- Deep down, he's a private man and gets defensive when others inquire about him or make remarks about him or his possessions.
   He can often be petty and fussy, but he does attempt to hold back on snapping...
- In regards to the above point, he's not very good at being patient. 😅
- He's pretty much an immature scamp with a hobby in modern technology... And a slight coke addiction (both types of coke tbh).
- Gets flighty and snappy when he's pressured and threatened with violence.
- Is VERY hypocritical when on a bad coke binge and will pick fights with his family or friends, but most of them just ignore him in these times... He isn't coddled per se, more like looked over.
- Is prone to bouts of depression, especially exacerbated by the lack of close friends he has.
   His overuse of cocaine really lends to that lonely feeling...
- He would prefer to come off as normal to strangers and acquaintances, but he's definitely more out there and isn't great at being private! 😳

Johnny is a Jersey boy who prefers living in New York.
Since he was young, he has always been considered vivacious and outgoing-- often crowned the class clown and the like. He may as well live by the saying "the more the merrier"!

His family in particular were, in his young eyes, never-ending in the amount of work that needed done. Even with being the youngest (baby!) of the family, all the children were often roped into helping ma and pa with their footwork for other family members, whether it be mundane chores or more... Odd ones.
Growing up, beyond that, seemed quite normal and hum-drum, for him, and he was rarely affected by the way he was raised or how others outside of his huge family would treat him. He's always gone to the beat of his own drum without thinking twice. Because of his fierce independence, Baby is the only sibling from his immediate family to not get 'made'-- to not enter the fold of the mafia.

For being so evasive toward the Cosa Nostra way himself, he is very much respectful to that lifestyle and his family deeply involved in it. It's hard not to sympathize on account of his bustling childhood full of helping his uncles and older cousins with odd-jobs! It's also the only thing he knows and is comfortable with it, so he'd never rat out his family or friends. He can try and laugh or joke it off with people outside of that living, but damn is it tough... It takes up his world despite barely glossing the surface himself.

He somehow is always squeezing himself out of dealing with/getting pulled in by his mob family and friends. His excuses are always flimsy, and he himself doesn't seem to think twice as to why he hesitates when he's so close to being a full-fledged soldato... The family probably just thinks he's too immature to ever truly take enough responsibility in that manner.
He is very good with his hands, and is requested often to work under the radar jobs involving said nimble fingers. Because of all hectic manner of his lifestyle (being torn between mafioso ties and being a 'clean man'), he cannot truly explain what sort of occupation he has. Whenever it comes to civilians, he simply says he works in business.

Joey is such an iconic person within Johnny's life! It was pure agony to have been separated from him when he 'relocated' to the west. Before that, they were as thick as thieves; they were very similar to one another without even trying. Even when apart, Johnny tries to find time (and money) to go visit his outrageous cousin-- and when not reunited physically, they often ring one another up and recount their wild nights.

Node is one of Baby's many cousins. He knows Node well enough, and they get along (especially when Node gives in to a few drinks and a gamble or two), but Node isn't exactly easy to get along with, deep down...! Baby knows why Node is a sourpuss, but it's annoying when he tries to move on from the subject of his cousin's escape from the mafia. What can Johnny say? He's not a fan of sticks-in-the-mud, even if they have a good reason. And Node really doesn't do a good job of being a better friend, anyways...

• Friends and family usually call him "Johnny", "Johnny-baby", or even just "Baby", "Baby boy" and those variants. Hardly ever "John", though.
• As much as he's embarrassed by wearing his glasses, he absolutely needs them if he wishes to read!
• Can speak fluent Italian, as it's his first language (alongside English).
     He prefers speaking English more often than not, though... On account of not using Italian too much, he can sometimes stutter, pause, and snap his fingers in attempt to recall certain words  when speaking seriously to someone (he's a mess).
• His biggest dream is to work at IBM ("their computers are tops")...! Such a thing will never happen to him, but he feels it's a tangible and modest goal for a man of his status....
• A decent, and pleasant caretaker. Sometimes curse words slip out, or he says a little too much about things they shouldn't be learning yet, but he always corrects himself. He's very open and loving with kids of all ages (the older ones especially detest dealing with him, because he's as doting or playful as a grandparent).
     Sometimes he prefers hanging out with kids more than adults since they're as honest and goofy as he is! ...He's the first to volunteer being 'exiled' to the kid's table on Thanksgiving 😂😂😂
