You would like to know, huh?

Prior to its life in the game of (OFF), Acosi was a human being. However, an unfortunate encounter with the dark arts caused Acosi to be dragged into a mysterious void known only as The Nothingness, where it was stripped of its former identity. Though it has no recollection of its life before becoming a piece of the game, Acosi feels as though it is constantly being drawn away from the game and has a burning desire to escape with no means to achieve it.

As a human, Acosi was an excellent dancer; in fact, it was training to become a professional ballerina. Though it lost the memory of most of its past life when it was cast into The Nothingness, its talent, and love for dancing translated into its new identity. In the world of (OFF), Acosi spends its days as guardian of the theater, ensuring that it is well-kept. Acosi also dedicates itself to intense dance practices and will even perform for the Elsens. Though it has grown accustomed to the Elsens being too timid to attend its productions, Acosi is still disappointed when it does not have much of an audience. However, Acosi does not let a poor turnout stop it from appearing on-stage. It will perform to a completely empty auditorium to the best of its ability, simply for the love of the art. The bravest Elsens will occasionally come to watch Acosi dance, despite its unpredictable mood swings, because it's fluid and graceful movements are beautiful. When the Elsens do venture to come to one of Acosi's shows, they will often express their approval at the end of the performance with a wide range of excited sighs.

Due to its dementing appearance, Acosi is generally avoided and perceived as frightening. In reality, however, it is a kind and gentle being. Acosi likes to consider itself to be a nurturer and protector of the stage, a hero of the arts, and an entertainer for the timid inhabitants of The Nothingness. However, as a pawn in the game, Acosi is often called away from its work as a dancer to participate in bloody battles throughout the land. While Acosi is not evil by nature, it is forced by the coding of the game to pester the Batter. While Acosi attempts to run from battle, it is often used to create challenges for the Batter and its jeer that require the Puppeteer to think outside of the box. If the Batter were to be successful in its quest to purge the evil from the land, Acosi would cease to exist because it has been coded as a villainous character, despite its best attempts to be a good creature.

Acosi believes it can outsmart anyone, particularly when it battles. In fact, Acosi is quite overconfident in its abilities in both dancing and battle, and it can often be egocentric. It likes things that it can overpower, especially small objects that it can hold in its hand. It likes to feel as though it has some sort of control over its life because, in reality, it knows that it is a servant to the design of the game and does not have control over itself. It requires constant validation and loves for others to acknowledge it and its great abilities.

Though it does not always enjoy interacting with others, it is quite curious about the nature of others and likes to observe them from afar. Acosi is rather lonely, spending most of its days isolated at the theater, but it tries its best to entertain itself. Acosi likes to make its own music, using a series of strange guttural sounds to create a melody resembling a hum. It also enjoys watching the sunset because it knows that the sunset brings nighttime, and the darkness is one of Acosi's favorite things. At night, Acosi likes to throw its own personal raves with the glowsticks that it acquires from (...). Acosi's loneliness has led to it becoming a bit delusional, however, which can contribute to scaring the meek-hearted Elsens away from its performances.

Though it is not always aware of and certainly not in control of its actions, Acosi does its best to live out a fairly satisfactory life in The Nothingness. Aside from the occasional pressing urge to flee the game for reasons unbeknownst to itself, Acosi does relatively well in the world of (OFF) and - as a guardian of the theater - lives to serve the masses through its art, just as it did in its prior life.
