Generally, Anjali doesn't make 'friends.' She is friendly enough for people to like her and maybe call themselves acquaintances, but she rarely ever tries to make lasting friendships. Which is quite a lonely existence for her but she feels like its better this way - a lot less chance of heartbreak or backstabbing. The same is said of relationships. In her youth, she fell for the 'bad boy' types and always got burned. So now she keeps everyone at arm's length, giving no one a chance to really get to know her.

Born in a small mountain community, Anjali's birth was seen as a blessing. Her parents, her whole community, said she had been touched by the saints, chosen to do great things. Anjali was deeply loved and treasured, she wanted for nothing in her early life. But even in the isolated and sparsely populated mountains, word of her amazing blessing had spread to other communities, who felt they deserved the blessing more. So began the tumultuous life of Anjali.

Stolen from her parents, the raiders injured and killed many in her community. The survivors searched long and hard for traces of Anjali but challenging weather had covered tracks so quickly. When the harsh weather didn't stop, the raiders thought they had angered the saints with their actions but rather than return Anjali to her people, they abandoned her at a trading post that was closer to the base of the mountain range. For a short time, someone at the trading post took care of her at least until the next band of thieves and criminals came tearing through, taking Anjali with them. A kit with multiple arms makes for a good thief, don't you think?

Her formative years in childhood were spent being raised by criminals, teaching all of the (frankly) useful but illegal things in life. Her huge fluffy feet, which were designed for walking through snow, gave her a very soft foot step, and she could practically sneak up on you silently. An upbringing with criminals also arms you with a ton of attitude and the ability to think quickly. A life of crime was ahead of her...if it wasn't for yet another upheaval when the gang she had called family thought she was a commodity to be sold. It was the final straw and she left on her own terms, taking to the wilds and learning to live and survive for herself.

Since then she has lived a nomadic life, making a name for herself as a good trapper and huntress, and she happily works with animal skin to make good quality leathers/furs. Her passion is food and cooking though, and whilst cooking on the go is not as good as a fully-fitted kitchen, Anjali believes you should still be bale to enjoy good food wherever you are. To some degree, she is a believer of 'feeding the soul' - if you eat good food, it is a good for you. She has spent many years finding new ingredients and even trying all the various monster meats on the island (some of which did make her really ill) so she has a good working knowledge of beasties, and might even be able to harvest some useful stuff like venom glands if you ask her nicely.
