Ochiael is a roguish son from the long withstanding merchant Blood Elf family, Duskflame. Unlike his elder sister, Elealda, Ochiael wasn't required to learn the ins and outs of running the family business and becoming the heir. He often spent his days nonchalantly learning new skills he found interesting at the time. Due to his parents not particularly caring what he did in his free time, he often found himself venturing outside of Quel'Thalas to neighboring human kingdoms and becoming particularly keen to many ladies. On these trips he also learned skills not often taught back at his home, for example, how to properly poison a blade courtesy of a defeated assassin sent by the father of one of the human ladies he courted one time. However, most of his carefree life up to that point came crashing down with the ravages of the scourge upon Quel'Thalas and then moreso two years later when a small slip a paper left on his sister's vanity was found by one of her attending maids. In it detailed that she had ran away from her life as heiress and her life at the manor in order to find a new more fulfilling life.

From that day forward his parents turned their watchful eyes to him, their only remaining progenity, in order to quickly shape him into heir material. Throughout the next five years Ochiael was trained day to night about the family business, in order to hastely catch up to where Elealda had left off. That is until the call from the Sin'dorei's new allies came knocking. All able bodied men and women of the Horde trained in fighting were to report to the Dark Portal to help fend off a Legion invasion. Despite his parents pleading and trying their best to pull strings with the upper echelons of Elf society to not let their only remaining heir leave them Ochiael was still sent to the frontlines.

In a twisted sense of humor, fate had now sent both siblings off into the depths of the Outlands albeit on different sides of the fight. Following closely in the footsteps of his elder sister three years prior, Ochiael fought his way through countless demons and fel orcs alongside the Horde. Ochiael braved the desolate hellscape known as Hellfire Peninsula learning quickly why demons and the Legion was considered a dire threat. In the early days of being a soldier, Ochiael was careless - which almost costed him an arm or even his life a few times. Luckily with his agility the only thing he suffered from was an injury to his right eye.

Soon enough his abilities as a rogue became known to the higher ups and he was pulled from the frontlines, instead he was placed behind enemy territory. The Horde and their allies wanted information regarding Illidan, however, with most of the fight being at the doorsteps of Kael'thas' Tempest Keep they were stretched thin with able bodies. So a small band of rogues, including Ochiael, were placed across Shadowmoon Valley. Ochiael had a fairly important job that kept him living in the wastes of the valley for nearly the rest of the campaign in Outland: Finding out who or what was being trained behind the looming walls of the Black Temple.

Most of his time on this mission was spent looking for a way in and avoiding detection of the Dragonmaw Orcs that flew overhead. But eventually he found a small outcropping with a shallow "cave" (more like a crack in the rock he could fit into) on a precipice that overlooked even the tallest wall of the Temple. It wasn't the comfiest of homes, but it did it's job keeping him hidden. He stayed at his makeshift camp collecting information on the inhabitants of the Temple, including the newest additions - Elves. Most were Kal'dorei, but Ochiael noted some smaller lither frames belonging to Sin'dorei most likely given to Illidan by Kael'thas earlier. However, they weren't like any elf Ochiael had seen, they had growths similar to that of demons and wore eyecoverings. In a correspondence with his superiors they had dubbed these elves Demon Hunters, as they shared many similarities with Illidan and how he had gained demonic powers for his own use. Following these few reports, his superiors began to urge him to try to find a way inside.

Legion Beats - Takes part in Broken Shore battle; Witnesses the arrival of Illidari forces -> Desperate hunting for his Sister -> Doesn't find her yet (Aamona doesn't want to be found); Joins up with the uncrowned due to knowledge of the Wardens & surrounding landscapes + family name; Partakes in stealth missions for the uncrowned; Near the end of campaign finally reunites with Elealda.
