Physical
Softfeather is a decent sized cat, though he's not quite as strong as other cats his size typically are. His fur is short but very soft, which is where he got his name from as a kit.
The end of his tail is broken and remains crooked at all times. This makes it harder for him to balance in some situations.
His ears are more round than a typical cats are and are a bit fluffy on the insides.

Personality
Softfeather is a loyal warrior with a major soft spot for kits. He often finds himself hanging around the nursery in his spare time, playing with the kits and teaching them things. He's never been known to raise his voice around any of the kits and has a ton of patience with them. Due to his investment with them, it's not uncommon for him to watch over the kits for periods of time to let the queens go off and get some peace and quiet.
In the case that there are no kits in the camp and he doesn't have an apprentice, he often finds himself bored and feeling like he's missing something. He may even feel a bit depressed if there is a long period of time without any kits. During these times others may notice that he distances himself from the rest of the clan a bit more, a subconscious thing he does when he's upset, which probably does anything but help him feel better.
Since he was commonly present in the lives of many of the cats in his clan when they were young, he knows a lot of his clanmates fairly well. He's always happy to chat with others, get to know what's going on with them, and possibly even try to give them some advice if they are dealing with some sort of issue. He's very laid back and relaxed and typically has a sort of peaceful aura to him. He's polite to those he doesn't know well and very friendly.
His main life goal for a long time was to have a loving mate, and to have his own family with him. He idealizes love/partnership more than he should and frequently felt bad when he hadn't yet found someone to love, and worried that he never would. He especially worried about never settling down with a mate due to his previous two relationships with Spiderstripe and Dawntail, which both ended up breaking apart after a bit of time.
However, he eventually he finds a good mate in Silverstreak.
Due to his broken tail, he has issues with balance, which makes climbing and hunting a bit harder for him, along with some of the warrior battle moves that the majority of his clanmates can do with ease. It can be discouraging to him at times, though he tries his best to serve his clan well. (And taking care of the kits is something he both loves doing and feels like is his best contribution to his clan.) He doesn't really believe that he'll ever be as good a warrior as most cats are in terms of duties such as hunting, defending, etc, and struggles with his emotions related to this a lot. Though despite him not being the best at hunting, he does enjoy doing it. He especially likes going hunting with his sister, Rosepelt. He can generally be a bit clumsy, not helped by his more difficulties with balance.
Due to his patience and passion for teaching young cats along with his intelligence, he makes a decent mentor despite his lower abilities as a warrior. He finds it much easier to teach a young cat how to do things than doing them himself, as he knows how a lot of things are done but can't seem to pull them off well on his own due to his physical balance issues.
While Softfeather enjoys giving advice to cats, he doesn't always follow his own advice. He feels nervous about conflicts, and as a result will sometimes wait a while before bringing up an issue he may have with any of his friends or clanmates. If he feels that something is an issue, he also may often think over it for a long time before he really decides that it's a problem, as he might try to come up with excuses for others' behaviour he dislikes in his head.
StormClan Warrior
Softfeather is a bit of a different type of warrior, not often partaking in the normal duties a Warrior would partake in. He spends the majority of his time instead helping the queens with raising their kits, and occasionally the medicine cats with collecting herbs, organization, etc. This is due to both his love for kits and his admiration of medicine cats, and due to his physical limitations because of his lack of balance.

Rosepelt | Sister · she/her
As kits, the two would often hang out together and pester their older clanmates and generally cause chaos. When he and his siblings had become apprentices and Softpaw had broken his tail, Rosepaw was there to help him and often visited him during his recovery in the medicine den. He greatly appreciated her help and company, and became even closer with her during those times. Now that they are warriors, he enjoys going out on hunts with her, talking and relaxing, and the occasional times when she will help him watch the kits. He finds it amusing how awkward she is around them. He also boasts to her quite frequently about his daughter, Lilacbloom.
Brackenburr | Sibling · they/them
When they were growing up, Softfeather was one of the few who, instead of laughing at Brackenburr for wanting to use they/them pronouns, tried to understand them and be supportive, even if he didn't entirely get it at the time. Through the time the two grew close and are good friends. Sometimes Brackenburr will vent to Softfeather, and he always tries his best to listen and offer up some advice if he thinks he should.
Lilacbloom | Daughter · she/her
Softfeather is extremely proud of his daughter, as a kit he often showed her off to those around him (especially to his siblings Rosepelt and Brackenburr). As a father, he was around her as often as he could be. He taught her a lot of things as she was growing up and in general tried to be there for her. He still talks fondly of her to his siblings and spends quite a bit of time with her, even as she is now a Warrior. He's extremely proud of how far she has come as a cat and what she's now capable of.

Softfeather admires her for becoming a Medicine Cat and her respect for the Clan. He enjoys her caring and patient nature, somewhat similar to his own, and likes the times when they've chatted together. He also appreciates that she's trying to teach him a bit about herbs, and that she's close friends (and becomes mates with) and kind with his sibling, Brackenburr.

Dawntail | First Mate , Friends · she/her
As apprentices, Dawnpaw and Softpaw were very close. They hung out often and enjoyed training together and just chatting. As they were growing up and became warriors, Softfeather felt as if he needed to have a mate: a female mate. Since the two were already very close, they decided to try and see how it'd work out.
Their relationship eventually ended, Softfeather explaining that he felt a pressure to take on a female mate to hide feelings he had for male cats. Dawntail said that she thought the two would make better friends anyways than mates. Though, they did happen to have a kit together before they split up. Lilacbloom was of course the daughter that they had. The two are on good terms and hang out rather frequently, though not quite as much as they used to. They still consider themselves to be pretty close friends regardless.
Spiderstripe | Ex-Mate , Acquaintance · he/him
Softfeather doesn't talk to Spiderstripe very much anymore. He's a bit confused about the rougher tom, and had mixed feelings for him for a long time past when they broke up, but he decided that it was probably better to drop the relationship due to things he's heard about him and the rivalry he has with Brackenburr. He kind of tries to avoid him due to these conflicted feelings he has.
In the past, Softfeather used to often try to get Spiderstripe to cheer up some, to be a bit more light-hearted and relaxed. On the other hand, sometimes Spiderstripe would convince Softfeather to help with pulling pranks on fellow clanmates and getting up to no good in general. The two used to eat meals together just about all the time.

Softfeather enjoys going on the occasional hunt with her, and relaxing together. He thinks she's pretty nice and admires her for striving to change her path as a Warrior to instead become a Medicine Cat.

Softfeather talks with her quite frequently, and enjoys her company. He's impressed both by her creativity and intelligence, and oftentimes finds himself wishing that he was that smart.

He knows she can be anxious at times, and tries to keep her relaxed or help her if she's having a hard time. He's always open to lending a helping hand or offering advice when she needs it, or just to be someone to listen to whatever Iceflare has on her mind.

The two are on kind of iffy terms due to their shared past relationships with Spiderstripe. They both sympathize with one another a bit though. Softfeather isn't really sure what to think of Wolfspark for the most part, as he has had a variety of conversations with her, including her threatening him, advising him, and just chatting in general. He tends to try to avoid her most of the time, though he won't ignore her if they end up being nearby one another.

He praises her for her loyalty, though also advises her against sticking with those who do her harm. Softfeather enjoys their training sessions and talking with her, and he has great hopes for her continued improvement in the future.
Kithood
Softkit spent a lot of time with Rosekit causing chaos around the camp, as kits typically end up doing. However, he also would stay behind with his less outgoing sibling, Brackenkit, and try to spend some time with them. Softkit was pretty close with both of his siblings and their relationships would only grow stronger over the moons.
Apprenticeship
When Brackenpaw realized that they wanted to start using they/them pronouns, Softpaw was one of the few to try to stick up for them. While he didn't entirely understand it at the time, he cared a lot about his sibling and wanted the best for them and to help them if he could. He'd stick up for them if others tried bullying them or calling them names.
After just a few moons of Apprentice training, Softpaw was out on a border patrol with his mentor, sister, and several other cats. While they were out a thunderstorm caught them by surprise, the winds picking up speed very quickly and causing the trees to shake very badly. A branch broke off of a dead tree and landed right in the middle of their group. Luckily none of them were directly hit, though the branch did land on Softpaw's tail, which is what caused it to break. Rosepaw was very afraid for him at the time, but calmed down a bit when she realized he was (mostly) okay and helped him get back to camp. The other members of his group had some injuries from the bark shattering off of the branch, but they all recovered after some time in the medicine cat's den. Rosepaw frequenly visited Softpaw while he was recovering in the medicine cat den, since he had to stay longer than the others did due to his broken tail.
Softpaw got his first crush as an apprentice, on a slightly older tom who had recently become a warrior named Silverstreak. The two had a bit of a private romance but it ended quickly. No one knew about it at the time, but he would later tell his siblings after his break up with Dawntail, and, eventually, the two would become an open couple.
Warrior
As a young warrior, Softfeather felt pressured to become mates with a female cat because he felt as if he shouldn't be with a male cat, so he ended up becoming mates with his best friend, Dawntail, and the two had a small litter together. In fact, it was a litter of just one kit, Lilackit. Eventually Softfeather realized that he didn't really want to be in a relationship with a she-cat, and the two broke up, though they are still very good friends. Softfeather spent a lot of his time in and around the nursery, helping take care of and spending time with Lilackit as she was growing up, despite him and his mate no longer being considered a couple. Dawntail appreciated his company and help a lot regardless of their relationship status.
A bit later, Softfeather met Spiderstripe, and the two got off to a good start. They became a couple after a bit of time, and both had a lot of feelings for one another. But similarly with his previous mate, they started to drift apart. Softfeather got even more confused when he started hearing negative things about Spiderstripe from his clanmates. Eventually he decided it would be better to end things between the two of them, and they broke up. Softfeather typically avoids being around Spiderstripe due to his mixed feelings about him, though he doesn't hate him or anything.
He got his first apprentice, Snowpaw, during the time he was with Spiderstripe. The duration of her training lasted a few moons after Softfeather's breakup with Spiderstripe.
Quite a few moons later, Softfeather ended up getting back together with Silverstreak, and the two couldn't be happier. After their romance ended when they were younger, the two avoided each other, feeling awkward, but when they started to reconnect, they clicked instantly and knew that they were still meant to be together.
During the time between when Softfeather was dating Spiderstripe and Silverstreak, Softfeather began to become very depressed and insecure about his relationship status. He was worried about never finding a mate of his own, seeing as many others around his age already had mates, and he had two previously failed relationships. However, his depression and anxiety began to lift once he started reconnecting with Silverstreak, and slowly over time vanished as the two began dating once again.
Kithood
Softkit spent a lot of time causing chaos around the camp with his sister, Rosekit, though he also spent a lot of time with his more reclusive littermate, Brackenkit.
Apprenticeship
Softpaw was always there for Brackenpaw when they began to go by they/them pronouns.
During a patrol, Softpaw broke his tail due to a falling branch landing on it. He had to take a decent bit of time to heal from the injury, and Rosepaw always made sure to visit him in the medicine den during this time.
He became close friends with Dawnpaw, and had a secret romance with Silverstreak.
Warrior
Softfeather and Dawntail became mates and had a litter with one kit, Lilackit. The two broke up during her kithood, though Softfeather was always there to help raise her.
He started dating Spiderstripe, and while they had a good start, the relationship eventually crumbled due to all the mixed feelings Softfeather began getting about the mysterious tom.
He got his first apprentice, Snowpaw.
Softfeather and Silverstreak get back together, and clicked instantly. They're very happy now that they're together again.
During the time between when Softfeather was dating Spiderstripe and Silverstreak, Softfeather felt very insecure and depressed about his relationship status. These feelings slowly went away as his relationship with Silverstreak blossomed.
