Devon here used to be Horatio's daughter and Ophelion's best friend! Unfortunately this very quickly became a conflict of interest when she was like five or six, because for reasons she still doesn't understand, she walked in on Horatio trying to kill Ophelion. She very understandably freaked out, which led to her accidentally killing her own father, which led to her freaking out even more and fleeing into the woods. Eventually, she found Ethan; they bonded over their mutual guilt, and he adopted her. Then they found If,  Ethan adopted her too, and the three of them lived as a happy (but very very isolated) family for like six years. Then Ophelion came looking for her, and they began meeting up in secret. Through a series of events I've yet to determine, the two of them convinced Ethan to return to Elsinore, and they've been there ever since. She and Ophelion are dating now, and they're adorable.
