Story: Sanguis is one of the many demons who lives in Makai. Originally created female, Sanguis later approached Shinki, asking for his body to be changed to reflect how his soul felt. Shinki, willing to do anything for her subjects granted his wish, giving him his new form. Sanguis is one of the many demons who travel back and forth between Makai and Gensokyo, after agreement was established between Yukari and Shinki. He loves exploring the world and occasionally getting into trouble. Sanguis is very skilled with heavy two-handed weapons like bastard swords and battle axes. Like Tokiko, he is one of the few well known close ranged fighters.

Personality: Sanguis, by nature, is a very sweet, positive and caring person. He always tries to keep smiles on everyone's faces and more often that not, is in a good mood. He has the patience of a saint, and it is very hard to get him mad. When someone's feeling down, he's someone they can always go to for a hug or just some comfort.
