Growing up, Destrie was the middle child of three. She didn't receive as much attention as her older brother, who was praised by her parents the most for his magic talents. This sparked her to be envious of him for as long as he had the position of the favorite child. She got along well with her little brother at first, but a growing compulsion for power and popularity soured her over time. She became less pleasant to be around, bullying Canaro whenever she could to feel better about herself and often pushing around others as well that she felt was lesser than her. Her attitude earned her some "friends" that would only feed into her desire of popularity, but costed her many genuine relationships.

Destrie's relationship with her brother Canaro would later be severed after she outs his sexuality to his crush of the time. The situation divides their family, with Canaro running away, Etzel later leaving to stay with Canaro, and Destrie being the only one to remain with her parents. Things end up becoming much quieter once her siblings are out of the picture, as Destrie pursues mercenary work and continues the relentless push to be better. It erupts into an obsession over time, with her developing workaholic tendencies and neglecting other responsibilities such as moving out of her parents' house. She gains notoriety for her mercenary work, but her bad reputation continues to follow her to the present.
