Sven Gutermuth

BIO

Sweet old man to die for and the other nightguard at TabbyKat's. He’s a dad figure to some of the workers, even though he doesn’t visit the restaurant often. Sven’s usually a customer that the workers can lay on and vent to, especially the younger ones. He settles some arguments too, making sure to hear everyone’s side. Sometimes he gives his audience some stories of his past, as a treat.  He talks fondly about his daughter, Ruby. They tend to have a good sense for secrets around people they've been with, making it hard to hide anything from them.

Before he moved to Florida, he lived in Texas with his spouse and Ruby. However, one day a wildfire broke out near the house. He was able to save Ruby, but not his spouse, and was left severely burned from his attempt. Sven was hit with deep depression and moved when he had enough money, both for his sake and Ruby's.  He's been getting therapy for himself and Ruby, since then. He's still in the process of reassociating himself with open fires.

Sven is very sympathetic and empathetic, always lending a hand or ear or giving advice when needed. They firmly believe that everyone is capable of being good, no matter who they are- even the worst just need someone to be there for them. This, along with his softness, makes him somewhat naïve and stubborn. His problem is that he can be... overbearing, not catching that some things don't concern his intervention.

APPEARANCE

Sven has tan skin, gray-ish brown eyes, and dark brown, curly hair and goatee, which are graying. There is a little hair part that usually sticks out. He is a fat man who is missing his left forearm. He also has eyebags and wears an eyepatch over his left eye, which is scarred from a cat scratch. His hair is usually worn down, but sometimes Ruby does his hair. Sven sometimes wears a prosthetic when he goes out, but doesn't use it often, since it irritates the skin a little. He also has burn scars mostly on the left side of his body, althought they're somewhat faded.

Their fashion usually involves flannels, dad shirts, and sweatpants, but a staple to what they wear is their cap and usually their sweater. They usually go for a casual look.
