Basics
Snerthi is a shadow sorcerer gnome. She fights with magic and daggers. Her arcane focus is an amethyst, which they wear on a necklace. When performing magic, their eyes turn entirely black.
Snerthi is fascinated by dark, forbidden subjects, and is willing to do anything to uncover secret knowledge. This makes them very impulsive, and they will often make decisions before giving them proper thought. Due to her macabre interests and gloomy demeanor, she can seem intimidating, but in reality she is well meaning and often unintentionally charismatic despite her strange mannerisms.Likes

Backstory
Childhood
Snerthi was raised in a small village by scribe gnome parents who wanted her to become a scholar like them. Although Snerthi loved to learn, she was bored by the banality of her lessons, and preferred to explore the wilderness outside her village. Eventually, she found an entrance to the Underdark, an enormous system of underground tunnels and caverns where the boundary between the physical world and the spirit world is blurred.
The Underdark
Despite warnings from her parents to stay away, Snerthi kept going back to the Underdark. She ventured deeper and deeper into the caverns until one day, when she strayed farther than any living being should. She made it out, just barely, but at a price. When she surfaced from the Underdark, months had passed, and she found herself in a twilight state between life and death. With this change came strange magical abilities that allowed her to summon darkness and speak to shadows.
Search for knowledge
Desperate to learn what had happened to her in the caverns, Snerthi became obsessed with dark magic and the study of death. She knew that she could no longer stay in her village, where she was even more of an outcast than before, and so she left her family in search of knowledge and understanding.

Pia [ relationship ]
Snerthi took a liking to Pia almost immediately due to their shared interests in death and necromancy. Pia's cautious personality complements Snerthi's recklessness, and together they make a formidable pair.
Lysander [ relationship ]
Snerthi doesn't quite know what to make of Lysander. He seems like an idiot, but he also wields incredibly powerful and mysterious technology (a handgun). For the moment, she'll settle for wariness, and a healthy dose of skepticism.
