• Style: Mara tends to wear cute clothing, particularly dresses and skirts. In all honesty though, she couldn't care less what she wears, she simply dresses that way out of habit. Shelly and Courtney dressed her in that way while she was growing up, and she simply continues to wear the same types of clothing as a result.

 Relationships

• Relationship with Shelly:
  • Mara's father. Shelly doesn't always "get" her daughter, but loves her none the less. Mara looks up to her father and love her, but is closer with Courtney between her two parents.
• Relationship with Courtney:
  • Mara's mother. Mara inherited a lot of her mother's odd quirks, both in her mannerisms and in their shared propensity to over fixate on people that interest them. Due to this shared understanding, the two get along well. Their understanding with each other isn't verbal, both just seem to "get" the other.
• Relationship with Terra:
  • Mara's older sister. The two are very different, but Mara still likes being around her big sister. They have a warm, supportive relationship.

 Personality

• Quiet: A girl of little words, Mara is type to listen to a conversation while contributing as little as possible. She chooses her words carefully and speaks in short, to the point sentences.
• Carefree: Mara doesn't have a strong driving goal in her travels, she instead takes a more live and let live approach to life. She's willing to try new things that interest, it's just getting her actually interested that's sometimes the issue.
• Stubborn: Despite mostly being chill, once she fixated on something/someone, she doesn't easily let her feelings go.

 Trivia

• - Mara is Lotte's main rival, the two having a bitter rivalry moreso than a friendly one. The two are very condescending and harsh with each other, but do honestly end up pushing each other to improve through their competition.
• - Her name, Mara, can mean both "bitter" and "sea." The sea part is meant to contrast with the earth meaning her sister's name has, as well as being a homage to Team Aqua. For the other half, while she's not an overwhelmingly bitter person, she is prone to a lot of bitter feelings when things don't go her way. Also, a good portion of the early part of her relationship with Lotte is built on mutual bitterness between the two, even if it does improve with time.
• - Once her rivalry with Lotte starts to cool, Mara ends up traveling around with her group for a fair amount of time. The "4th Ranger" of sorts for their traveling group.
• - While the two don't have a romance per se (Mara ends up developing strong feelings for Lotte and Armel is mostly oblivious to everything romacne related) her and Armel experiment together, being each other's first times.
