Nicolas is a shopkeep for a culture shop in Topix called 2kTimes. This is a shop that specializes in music and media... (it's basically hot topic.)

Nicolas is a very negative and depressing person- a stereotypical "emo" teen (who's actually older than most-) who's often on the job being rude to customers or stocking shelves begrudgingly. He only really works there to get discounts on music, one of the only things he's passionate about. He copes with music, and when not working he's curled up in his room writing lyrics or listening to music.

Nicolas is also very quick to get angry and might have some actual anger issues- he's pretty strong for his small stature too, so don't frustrate him too much.
Nicolas wasn't always so negative and depressed; the youngest of a group of pig guards, Nicolas's nine brothers and sisters were all killed by Dusk after he summoned The Hatter. Since then, his anger issues and depression have sort of consumed him, as he refuses to become close to anyone ever again.
