Daniel Balcheque

Resident of the hive-dream. The failed resulting child of generations of competitive inbreeding. Born with a life debilitating mutation that caused his body to grow an uncontrollable amount of arms over his body. Due to the nature of his condition, he's lived a good majority of his life in the hospital alongside his sister, Nariko - another breeding reject. Weak and drained of life, he takes one day at a time and focuses what energy he does have on taking care of his younger, sicker sister. The two kind of just existed to survive, wasting life away in the wards, until one day...Nariko was perfectly fine? What?? After a close brush-up with death, she was approached by Kyubey to contract as a magical girl to fight Nightmares - allowing her to wish to be healed for good. He was happy for her...but also kind of bitter. She couldn't have healed him too? And how come only girls get to have a wish and fight nightmares?? He keeps most of his vices to himself as he tails Nari in her (and other magical girls', as she's teamed up with a few from the town) efforts to fight back the Nightmares of the dream, providing the best support he can in the time he has left... 

The awakened counterpart. Cynical, jaded, and selfish would all be accurate ways to describe this version of Daniel. The mixed resulting child of generations of competitive inbreeding - while the mutations he's developed are quite life-threatening, they come with major pros which make humans and weaklets alike shove his concerns aside. His body overproduces specific wavelengths of energy, giving him an unfathomable amount of power which he can use to his whim; but it's way too much for his body to handle on its own. Attempting use this energy, which has been named "Overload," is at the expense of his life. Owners overlook this detail though and fight over him to own him as their Professional Competitive Fighter in the ring. After being hot potato-ed off from one neglectful owner to the next, he'd had enough. He used his powers for what he was hoping would be the last time to try and destroy his captors, only half succeeding. In the resulting chaos, he was taken captive once more, but this time by a gang of weaklet criminals who admired his strength and pretty much forced him into their ranks. Freedom wouldn't come easy for this kid, it seemed. 

Non-Weaklets universe. An RP group based on the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica (PMMM). Months before, his sister contracted with "Inky" (this world's "Kyubey") to become a magical girl, joining up with a team of magical girls and boys who believed in peace and defying the incubators called "The Guardians," though she kept it all a secret from him. After a series of serious events that built up over the months, Nari was found dead at their kitchen table. Losing his sister causes Daniel to attempt a suicide - only for him to chicken out at the last second. Daniel instead turns to Inky to help him restore his desire to live...which leads to him being thrust into a world of death and despair. He finds it hard to connect with the new team of magi's he's assigned to, but puts on a facade so that they won't, y'know, kill him or anything. All the while, he tries to uncover what happened to his sister. To his surprise, he does manage to make friends along the way, even if the road to some of them is bumpier than preferred. One of the survivors of the final battle of Walpurgis, though not without much sacrifice.
