Somi is a sexy girl with a charming smile. She wins people over with her smile and beauty all the time. Out of all the girls, she is the most mature in her group, often acting like the girls' mother. She's very reserved about her problems but she loves to let others vent to her. She's always calm and collected but inside she harbors her own problems. She tends to bottle everything in until it's full and bursts but she's working on opening up. Due to her experience with her problems though, she's the one person the girls go to for support or advice. She's very flirtatious both onstage and off and is well known for her small, curvy figure. She's usually the one to keep the girls under control and watches over them with her love.

Somi was born into a normal family who loved her. She grew up surrounded by love. As a young kid, she was always more chubby than the other girls and she got shamed a lot for her body in school. In middle school, everyone would call her fat when in reality she just didn't fit the norm of korean beauty standards. She was short, curvy, with a lot going on in her hips and thighs. Still, she was given a lot of hate for it.
In middle school, she had her first boyfriend. This boy would constantly tell her she should lose weight and she would be more pretty. One day, they had a huge fight in the middle of school where he called her hateful things and ridiculed her weight. Another male student intervened who sided with her and put the man in his place. It was safe to say, Somi broke up with her first boyfriend. Her and the other male student though became very close friends who proceeded to go to highschool together. With time, the two began loving each other, a love so strong that they were perfect for each other. The two dated all of highschool and were known as the couple duet. The two used to dance together for couple choreos all the time and that was their dream.
When an unfortunate event happened that Somi's boyfriend lost his life in a car accident, she was left devastated with no motivation for her life. All she had left of him was a pomeranian puppy he gave her for her recent birthday. It took time for her to heal but eventually she began looking for a career in dancing. This led her to Stellar entertainment where she applied to be a dancer. It was later revealed that she was a great singer and it didn't take her long to become a kpop idol.
Now, Somi is happy doing something she knew her late boyfriend would be happy about. She met wonderful friends in her group MARIONETTE and enjoys being able to do what she loves. She still has her puppy and a necklace of her boyfriend that she wears for performances, but she has vouched to move on with her life and not dwell in the past.

Her and Jiyeon suffered through all their trainee years together and were able to debut in the same group. They became best friends throughout the years and Jiyeon is one of the only members that Somi goes to for her problems. The two of them are known as the "Parents" of MARIONETTE.
Somi and Wendy met once MARIONETTE debuted. At first the two girls were pretty quiet with each other but as they hanged out more, Wendy became a close friend of Somi's. She's another person that Somi relies on if she feels down. She won't talk about her issues with her but Wendy never asks because she understands Somi is reserved.
Somi met Ivy after joining "MARIONETTE". The two shared a love for dancing and quickly bonded over that. Both Somi and Ivy work together in making the choreos for the group's songs and to teach it to the girls.
The two girls met after joining MARIONETTE and both shared the passion of breaking stereotypes of fashion and beauty. Yuqi respects Somi as her Unni and frequently comes to her for advice about "Boys" and life. Somi was probably the first one to notice Yuqi's crush on her brother's friend.
They both met after joining MARIONETTE and ever since they were introduced, Somi has spoiled Mint like she was her only child. She's the youngest so Somi keeps an eye on her to make sure she stays out of trouble and no one bothers her.
