Title
An old, weathered soul who lives in an abandoned Castle across a tidal island. He helps out travellers who get caught out by the tide but is rarely seen in public.
Seen as a slight oddity around town, though well respected by the other townsfolk, especially those who have stayed at his place when conditions were bad, Mal isn't seen around that often, and when he is, it's not for long. Though disguised as a dark grey cat in public, his true form is that of a skeleton with long fangs. Only one other cat is aware of his vampiric form, his mate Spindle, and while some of the other town cats are suspicious, Malaphas doesn’t cause enough trouble for anyone to actually bother getting involved due to his solitary nature and habit of helping out.
