Makino loved Yura a great deal, and this is why she left in the first place. She feared what her history might mean for her child, and decided it best if She was never part of Yura's life to begin with. It wasn't until much later, finally seeing her daughter grown for the first time, that Makino realize what a horrible mistake she had made abandoning her daughter. She tried her best to make it up to her, and the two actually had a decent relationship, but it was cut short after Makino gave her life in the Vault in order to protect the husband and daughter she had abandoned.
Yura's relationship with her mother was very short but extremely impactful. She never knew her mother growing up, and felt a bit of anger towards her because of this. She felt abandoned, and it was because of her mother than Yura left home and went on to do what she did. When she finally met her mother, Yura was enraged, confused and frustrated, but also glad to see that her mother didn't hate her. Despite their short relationship, Yura was crushed by the news of her Mother's death.
Makino loved her husband a great deal, and was grateful he took her in even when she was a complete stranger. The tow lived happily with one another for several years, but after Yura was born, Makino feared what relation to her would do to her family, so she left, heartbroken to have to abandon the man who endlessly loved and sacrificed so much to protect her and her daughter. when the two met some fifteen years later, Makino struggled to face Iemori, and was only able to after Yura's arrest. As the two went to save their daughter, their reunion was cut short as Makino gave her life to protect her family, they shared one final embrace, during which Makino implored for Iemori to move on and find happiness with another once more, before passing away.
Iemori was smitten with Makino from the moment he met her, and counted himself the luckiest man in the world when the two married. After having a beautiful daughter together, Iemori was convinced his life was perfect. Up until Makino ran off. Iemori was heartbroken, and shut himself off from the world. However, he continued to work his hardest to support and protect his daughter. He was only given further heartbreak when his daughter ran off, following in her mother's tracks. Iemori held a bit of anger towards Makino for a long time, but upon seeing her once more, some fifteen years later was washed over with relief, even if it was only for a short while. Makino's passing was a gut wrenching blow to him, but he was at peace knowing that she was as well, heading her words, and doing what he can to find happiness for himself once again.
