Elitist and self important as is typical for the character, MA felt it was a mistake not allowing her good qualities be carried into the coming generation and against all rules and regulation on the matter decided to have a child of her own. What was originally a bid to prove her superiority has become her desperate attempt to preserve something far more valuable to her. As an ikosan who refuses to participate in standard social bonding behaviors, the experience of connecting with her child revealed her need for connection. She is determined not to let anything take this from her, she does her best to care for her child given their circumstances.
Unlike other iterations of MA, this version is genuinely at threat of persecution. Not for her unethical methodology, but for breaking the rules surrounding parentage. She risks losing her life along with the life of her child if her actions were uncovered and as a consequence her stress levels are at a constant high. She is always on edge and always alert, and due to the genuine threat against her daughter she prioritizes chimeras safety in a legitimate way. Her hatred of her peers and narrow mindset remains, but she attempts to do the best she can to care for her daughter while being forced to conceal her existence rather than the isolation being a choice made in selfishness. Her protective behavior extends exclusively to her child, her patients are treated with cold disgust at best and she is loathed by her coworkers for her holier than thou attitude. She often vents to chimera about her work interactions.
