general info about Star Sapphires

Star sapphires are older versions of modern sapphires. They were manufactured from the beginning of gem empire to 14700 b.s. Unlike some other outdated gem models, their precious high ranking saved them from harvesting, which is why we still have them around.

Nowadays, star sapphires rarely perform any actual work for gem empire. Nearly all of them live in a small special palace on Homeworld where they can peacefully enjoy their "retirement". The whole building complex is opened to visitors.

Appearance

They're 137-140 centimeters high and can appear in any color besides red/reddish shades. Stars typically have sparkly vails, dress with star ornaments, crowns or hairpins and sometimes a pair of gloves. Their eyes are shaped into six-pointed star. Gemstones are cut into common round cabochons.

Future Vision

The main difference between regular and star, is their future vision power. In order for star sapphire to have their vision, they must fall into a super concentrated state, during which their hair starts glowing and floating around, eye turns milky white and small shiny particles begin to appear around their head. Although this might be a good show to look at, it puts the sapphire into really vulnerable position, during which they can't focus on anything else, then their vision.

Another disadvantage is the overall casting time of this power. While modern sapphires process their visions in milliseconds, star versions can spend from a few seconds up to five minutes doing the same thing. Last but not least, these sapphires cannot have future visions about events/gems/places that aren't currently surrounding them.
