i. early life

When Liuz was a child, they found themself orphaned and living on the streets. It was a rough life, being someone without food, shelter, or identity. Even then, they knew they couldn't show their true form; they'd had that drilled into them since before they could remember. However, luck was on their side on the day a kind miiredine couple found them and took them in. Their new fathers were very kind and extremely supportive, guiding Liuz into a better life. (wip)

ii. teenage years

When Liuz got a bit older, they found that they had a love of poetry and the written word. The delved into the world of academia, striving to learn more and do well. It was only a few years after their fathers adopted their new younger siblings that Liuz went off to college to further their education. It was during their time at school, though, that miiredene were outed to the world as shapeshifters that would take the place of people's families. Lies that the majority of people now accepted. Through fear of discovery, Liuz managed to graduate, although they weren't as close to their elf friends as they once were. (wip)

iii. adulthood

As an adult, Liuz took up the job of letter writing. They became very popular, as they had strong writing skills and beautiful handwriting. Before long, they had accumulated the money to purchase their own home, and chose to do so in a cozy village, far from the bustling city. They quickly settled in and lived alone for many years, all the time pretending to be an elf around the other townsfolk. One day, they decided to go on a journey and write a novel along the way, writing letters at the towns they stopped in to pay for it. Not that far into the journey, though, they met a miiredine girl (Erianthe) who worked at her family's inn, and quickly fell in love. One might call it love at first sight. As it happened, she fell for them, too. With her family's blessing, she joined Liuz on their journey. Like that, they continued on their journey, planning to bring the girl home with them at the end of it. Along the way, she became pregnant, so they planned to cut the trip short so that their child could be born at home, where it was safe. They wanted to make one last stop on the way home at a beautiful town known for its stained glass and romantic appeal. However, it was there that Liuz and his now fiancé were discovered to be miiredene. They were attacked, Liuz's fiancé was killed, and Liuz was trapped in a mirror and taken away. Only years later, once the mirror was shattered, were they able to return home, to their house that seemed far emptier than they left it.
