i. early life

Erianthe was born in a small village and was raised by her innkeeper parents. She spent a lot of her time exploring the village and playing with other kids. Whenever a traveler would pass through town, she would often ask them about their adventures - news of the world outside her home fascinated her. She wanted to know what the world outside her tiny village held. It wasn't uncommon for her to beg her parents if she could go with her friends to neighboring towns or even the city, but her parents always responded with a gentle "no." They feared that she may accidentally reveal her miiredine nature if she were to go anywhere alone, and they knew that if that were revealed, it could easily lead to all of them being driven out, or worse - killed. So, Erianthe remained in the tiny village.

ii. teenage years

Not much changed as Erianthe grew older. She continued to stay in the village, and she began helping out at the inn. Having a friendly and kind personality, she became quite popular, and she was often seen as the face of the inn. She occasionally convinced her parents to let her go to nearby towns or villages, but she was far from going to the big cities or the distant lands she dreamed of exploring. She knew the big world was waiting for her just beyond her doorstep, so she continued to bide her time until she was old enough to strike out on her own.

iii. adulthood

An interesting traveler visited the inn: a letter writer named Liuz. They were kind, helpful, and poetic. It wasn't long before they held Erianthe's heart. Even better, they were a miiredine! It was perfect! Especially when Erianthe learned that they liked her as well. As she'd finally reached adulthood, and her parents could no longer argue with her dream to travel, she joined Liuz on their journey. They traveled the world together, exploring places she'd never even dreamed of! However, after about a year or two of travel, Erianthe found herself to be with child. They decided it would be best to return to Liuz's home, where it was safe. They made a few stops along the way, but kept them brief. They knew that if they took too long, Erianthe wouldn't be able to maintain her elf form, as miiredine can no longer transform when they're so far along in a pregnancy. They were nearly home when they decided to stop at a beautiful town known for its stained glass - it was a well-known destination for couples. They wanted to make one last memory before going home, plus they wanted to get something for their child as a reminder of their travels. But... It wasn't long into their visit here that Erianthe discovered it was too late. She could no longer take her elf form. They were quickly discovered. Liuz tried to protect her, but maybe.... maybe if they hadn't fought back, she would have lived. But because they did, she was gravely injured, and her last sight was the fear and sorrow in Liuz's eyes as they held her. Perhaps her parents had been right - maybe it really was a bad idea for miiredene to travel...
