In this au rather than being a washed up disgraced former boxer and barfly, Brawler had a successful career in professional boxing and has since retired. When he called out the match rigging in his favor there was a thorough investigation into the matter and it was discovered that his opponent and the referee and a couple of the judges had all colluded together and were rigging bets for profit. Brawler was celebrated for his honesty and became a quick fan favorite as a beginner on the scene. His reputation never died down with the way he behaved himself like a proper gentleman both inside and outside of the ring and became known for his friendly behavior towards his opponents, often hugging or kissing them (with permission of course! hes a true gentleman) after a match. His actual fighting brought him much favor as no one could deny the man was skilled especially during his prime. Critics of him often claim that his act is fake and the man away from cameras must be insufferable, but he is genuinely kind-hearted and gregarious none of that is an act however he does like to cut loose and have a little fun in private in less prim and proper ways. Since his retirement he has been working as a bouncer at a leather bar he knows well and enjoys it immensely, it's no secret to the public though and he's rather proud of himself for doing a good job keeping the place safe and orderly and taking care of patrons. In his personal life he's a little bit of a Playboy but has recently seemingly settled down with a boyfriend, who he also publicly is very proud of. Hes still VERY active physically and is the type of dude to do yoga with a bunch of moms. Frequents starbucks type of man.

Hunter- years ago before hunter and cook were a thing the two hooked up just as a one time fling, brawler remembers it fondly and was entertained because hunter had No Idea he is a celebrity, brawler never told him or gave his name. Funny little secret.
Petty thief- his cringe ass little boyfriend (brawler doesn't think this. I do.) Who he met after the man found himself sort of confused and lost in the leather bar he works at, wide eyed and wearing a white button up and tie rather than. You know. Leather attire. Very out of place. Brawler talked to him and figured out he was staying at hotels and essentially jobless and homeless and was trying to get to an interview but got the wrong address and just ended up wandering around the bar blank faced. Brawler essentially invited him to crash on his couch which petty thief initially refused but after a bit of pressing because of how damn expensive the hotel was he took brawler up on it. He left the next day but brawler asked for his number and kept in touch, sending him referrals to people he knew looking for accountants and similar which ended up landing petty thief an actual stable job and the two started hanging out more often and eventually just straight up dating. Which is weird for brawler! Who has never been in a relationship beyond friends with benefits but enjoys it a lot. Likes to brag about his scrawny balding beau.
