HISTORY:

Silutika's underdark is unforgiving, even to the young, and Morwen was no exception.
Home was a small mining town, that specialized in the extraction of precious gems. The overseers saw most of the coin, like a dam blocking a river, the community was left with barren pockets. Morwen was one of the many drow that worked long hours with little return.
During a particular excavation, the team that Morwen was on found themselves on the wrong side of a cave-in. She was the only one who survived the ordeal, trapped and separated from her people, deep down within the dark. No light, and a waning sense of hope, as the thought of rescue seemed more and more distant. With each passing hour.
In her desperation, she pleaded and prayed to the various powers she'd heard praised by her kin, Lady of the Moon and Starlight, the Dawnhammer, anyone who might hear her. The then young drow's prayers were answered by someone she didn't expect however. Whispers like angels, stating do not be afraid. But her angels in question were just as shocking. Servants of the Spider Queen, large cave tarantulas that with ginger care and gentle voices soothed the child and brought her peace of mind. They knew the way out and would show her. Under one single condition.
To champion the Queen and her kin, so they too might have some peace from the drow delving into their lairs.
Morwen accepted, anything to get out and get home. And she did, though she did not come home the same. The spiders placed a harmless branding on the girl's left shoulder, the symbol of their Queen, and soldifying Morwen's ties to her.
At first she was welcomed home with love and relief, but as word spread of her mark, the more outcasted her and her family became. Unknown to Morwen before all this, the Spider Queen was known as a betrayer god, where there was once peace among the drow's many deities, she planted deceit and shadow. To be branded by her was a sore omen indeed.
It started with other drow not wanting to interact, idle snarks and remarks, to threats, and eventually more drastic measures. Morwen didn't take it lightly, and made every effort to fight back, she learned to defend herself and the queen, she was saved by her after all! And she made a promise to champion her.
The final straw was neighbours and once friends locked her parents away for harbouring her, and chasing her out of town. They took everything from her, and with her newfound powers, and some large arachnid allies, she intended to return the favour.
Ever since, she's been in full service and devotion to the Spider Queen and has never looked back.
Her knowledge of Beacon is fairly recent, a vision from her deity telling her to seek out more information. There is little that the Spider Queen fears, but one of those things is UNION coming to power, so Morwen is looking to sign on, in the name of her Queen, and for the common goal she shares with the company.

Human:Dark brown skin, freckled cheeks and nose, with short, lightly coloured hair in an uneven bob cut. Dark purple irises, and eyeliner so sharp it could cut a bitch. Fit, but not overly muscular, and a somewhat hourglass shape to her torso.

Ability: This ring contains five charges of lucky energy that are replenished every 12 hours. You may spend a charge to reroll 1s on skill checks, attacks, and saving throws, but not on damage.
Curse: The ring compells you to keep wearing and using it. Perform a CON save with a DC that starts at 1, but increases with every save rolled, failed or not. Until it reaches a DC of 20. A successful save allows you to willingly remove the ring from your finger, a failed save causes it to temporarily tighten just enough that removal isn't possible, but doesn't cut off circulation.
ABILITIES / SPELLS:
1. Spider Bites (AoE | 1d6 | Ranged)
As an action, Morwen can conjure and fire a bolt of acid within a 20ft range, creating a 5ft puddle where it lands. Any creature splashed with the acid, or standing in the puddle's radius takes 1d6 acid damage. Each creature affected may make a CON saving throw, on a success they only take the initial damage, on a fail, the acid weakens them considerably, allowing all attacks against them to be made with advantage until the creature's next turn.

2. Disonant Whispers (Single Target | 1d6 - Ranged)
As an action, Morwen whispers a discordant melody that only one creature of her choice can hear, wracking them with terrible pain. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save they take 1d6 psychic damage and must immediately use their reaction, if available, to move as far away as possible from her. On a successful save, the creature only takes half of the damage and doesn't have to move away.

3. Charm Person (Single Target | 1d8 | Support)
You attempt to charm a humanoid you can see within range. It must make a Wisdom saving throw, and does so with advantage if you or your companions are fighting it. If it fails the saving throw, it is charmed by you until the spell ends or until you or your companions do anything harmful to it. The charmed creature regards you as a friendly acquaintance. When the spell ends, the creature knows it was charmed by you.

TRAITS:
