Azura's Links
She doesn't know anything about HALIFAX, but she does feel like she's being followed sometimes.
She is one of their most desired subjects as she fits their criteria to a T. Currently hunting her down, which is difficult as Azura is always on the run.
Azura first visited Harold when she was 8 years old, brought to him by her mother to remove her horns. Since it was too risky to perform surgery on a child he refused her request- only to return once more when she was 19, desperate to get the removal. She couldn't fathom why Harold keeps refusing to let her remove them and initially despises him for it. As she grew older however, she learns that it was nothing to be ashamed of.
Harold loves her like she's his own child. He wants to give her the childhood she never had, with plenty of affection and guidance. And despite her stubbornness and trust issues, he's never deterred from caring about her.
Due to her past experiences with humans, Azura was weary of Anderson at first, no matter how nice and charming he presented himself to her. Over time he shows her that not everyone is out to hurt her, and with time and patience she learns to stop blaming herself over other people's mistreatment and start to embrace her devilish heritage. Anderson is one of the people she trusts to be vulnerable with.
Azura is Anderson's best friend, and even more than that. They connect on a wavelength only known to them. Through their struggles, their bond grows deeper. Azura knows Anderson's most intimate traumas, and he trusts her enough to handle them carefully, as he does hers.
Marlise and Azura sort of just click in a way. Their abrasiveness is similar, and they respect their own traumas and insecurities. Marlise wants to teach Azura how to love her body again, which may or may not include free tattoos...
Azura feels suffocated by her adoptive father's presence, even when she was a small child. Despite the horrors of the church he handles and extreme loneliness that comes with it, somewhere in her heart she pities the man and is deathly afraid of disappointing him.
He thinks he loves and cherishes Azura as his own daughter, but lack sincerity because of his intense hatred for Devils. He's controlling, possessive and manipulative towards her and showers her with compliments saying that she's a gift in his life and he can never be separated from her.
