Physical Appearance

• Medium length brown hair, grows to shoulder length and wears it in a short ponytail by end of story arc
• Green eyes

Clothing Style

During his time traveling with the caravan of bards, Lester would wear a simple red and white tunic over a white loose long sleeved shirt, along with light brown pants and leather boots. (exact design to be determined)

After joining Clan Blue Saints and learning about his knack for healing magic, he wears a white and red robe with a red high collar, red cuffs on the sleeves, and red and light brown shoulder guards. He still wears a white shirt, light brown pants, and leather boots underneath it. He also wears a red sash as a belt with a silver fastener, a leather strap across his chest that holds his staff to his back, and a blue pendant around his neck.

Personality

Lester is a kind and optimistic young man who is always eager to help others and learn new things. He always tries to be helpful toward anyone he encounters and has a compassionate and selfless streak, although he is somewhat inexperienced and naive about the world still. He was born and grew up in a walled city and was never allowed to leave, and even within the walls he was very sheltered and rarely was permitted to venture too far without supervision. Despite him lacking real world experience, he is very clever and is a quick learner, so he does rather well with adapting to new situations. He can be a touch shy at times, but he tackles his problems with confidence and is always willing to try something new and to learn from others. He seems to have a knack for magic and can attune himself to new types with relative ease, so this only lends further to his eagerness to expand his horizons.

While growing up, Lester was always one for following the rules and being obedient to his parents or other figures of authority. He sometimes has a hard time refusing others and is still new to the concept of defying authority. Due to the state of the region being oppressed by the Empire, he's had to adjust very quickly to breaking the rules, and he's still not very comfortable with doing so unless it's for obvious reasons, such as defending others from Imperials abusing their power. Among allies or neutral parties though, Lester can come off as a bit meek since he has trouble asserting himself around others. He often gets talked over or talked into doing things if he can't muster enough confidence to say no, so he tends to stick around people he trusts to help him in such situations.

Lester thinks the world of his older brother, despite how irresponsible and dishonest his behavior can be, and although he hasn't said so he's been observing Slamen more closely to try and be more rebellious. Even during their childhood, Lester was always in awe of his brother's adventurous nature and how brazen he could be about ignoring rules. He was (and still somewhat is) conflicted about whether to do as he's told and stay out of trouble or be more like his brother and have more fun with his risk taking, and now Lester is trying to get himself to take more risks to fight the Empire. He maintains his gentle and unassuming demeanor though, and he still prefers that others stay out of trouble as much as possible, mostly because he worries about their safety. He plays his role as a healer and supporter well since he always strives to protect those around him as best he can, and his new skills in magic have allowed him to finally do so with real impact.

Backstory

Lester grew up with his parents and two older siblings within the large city called the Walled Empirea. His older siblings were always curious about what the world beyond the wall was like, but leaving was forbidden. Their father was a commander of the wall defense, and Lester would often be torn between joining his siblings in their curious escapades trying to catch a glimpse of the outside world or obeying his father and leaving the issue alone. However, one day his sister disappeared while sneaking into the wall.

Seven years passed without a trace of his sister. Lester was forbidden in participating in the search for her by his brother, Slamen. Their mother had since died of illness, making Slamen take responsibility for caring for Lester. Slamen was still curious about the wall and the fate of their sister, and one day he also disappeared. Lester was then alone with his father, who fell into a depression after Slamen's disappearance and sheltered Lester even more than before.

After a few months, the Walled Empirea was attacked and destroyed by the Empire. Lester managed to escape thanks to his father, and he was later picked up by a band of traveling bards while struggling to survive on his own. Lester continued traveling with the band of bards for years. He learned many different skills along the way and discovered he had a love for singing and also a knack for magic. He acts as the main singer for the bards and considers the band his family, although he still yearns to know the fate of his missing siblings and his father.
