Jackie is eternally grateful towards Commander Rainer for giving her a chance most wouldn't at achieveing her dreams. She thinks he's the picture perfect image of a hero, and she's always trying to impress him. Hoping to one day be like him, her loyalty is absolute. She also has a tendency to make outlandish claims about his capabilities that the commander may not be able to back up. She wishes she had more time to talk to him before everything happened, and maybe asked if he planned on eating the fruit and his thoughts on her not wanting to eat it. She firmly believes though that Commander Rainer is still out there somewhere, and one day she'll have the chance to talk about these things with him. For now she simply hopes he's somewhere safe and somehow knows she and her friends are too, she doesn't want to cause him any more worry...
Rainer took Jackie under his wing because he saw her tenacious spirit, the kind of person to get back up again and again is admirable, but it also worries him that she'll work too hard on her own... But thankfully she doesn't have to anymore, she's now got allies she can rely on.
Jackie is well aware of Caster's stellar opinion of her, as her natural curiosity and general klutziness tends to result in her breaking machines a lot. He's an egghead with a big mouth and a lot of big ideas, and while she does think Caster and his inventions are pretty cool and wants to learn more about them, Caster's condescending attitude towards her makes it difficult to work with him without getting snarky as well. After everything that has transpired, she regrets that they argued so much. They've all been given a second chance though that by all means they shouldn't have, and she doesn't want to waste it. One day when they meet again she'll apologize, and hopes very much that they can make amends and become friends.
Caster thinks Jackie is absolutely an air head and the kind of person who needs to be told exactly what to do. No worries, he will do that for her no problem. She should be thankful for his involvement. His opinion of her hasn't changed, if anything, Caster has begun internalizing a lot of her jabs and insults towards him and now he feels he has a valid reason to not like her very much and so instead of allowing her to egg him on, he mainly ignores her now and grows annoyed with her presence.
Jackie has a bit of an odd relationship with Sister Eva, having a rather unusual view on spirituality and Lord Arceus compared to a member of the church. Jackie often questions Sister Eva on matters of faith and what kind of person Lord Arceus may be, as she highly values her opinion on such matters. Though Sister Eva tends to get annoyed by her strange, sometimes near blasphemous questions, Jackie appreciates her listening and doing her best to give her answers nonetheless. Though Jackie assumes a holy woman like Sister Eva would have eaten the fruit, she is still deeply saddened she never got to learn for sure, as she would have missed her dearly. Of all their missing friends, Jackie worries the most about Sister Eva due to how little knowledge and experience she has of the surface. She hopes she landed somewhere safe and she hopes they can find her soon...
Eva doesn't know what to make of Jackie's nature, but at the very least as long as she doesn't get herself into any trouble, Eva won't be chastising her.
Eva has however come to appreciate Jackie more. Looking back her initial opinion she realizes that Jackie isn’t as dull as she thought she was. Sure; they have differing opinions on things but that’s not an excuse for the way Eva has been dismissing her. Eva has trouble admitting she is wrong and saying sorry, but maybe someday.
Jackie thinks Tomas is kinda lazy and more than a bit narcissistic but whatever. She tries to play along with his back and forth sometimes, but tends to get agitated by him very quickly as he often takes it too far. She also often gets upset with him for his treatment of Ulki, Beel and Juni. She's sure there's some deep dark secret for why he's how he is, but she doubts he'd ever open up about it to her. After everything that has transpired, Jackie doesn't know what to think of Tomas. He hurt her and a lot of people she cares about, but at the same time just as many defend him. She want to try and understand why he did the things he did though, to give him a second chance inspite of the pain he caused. She has doubts though as to whether he'll give any of them one in turn, for most he never even gave them a first chance... Even still, what else can she do but hope, and try?
Tomas teases Jackie because he thinks its fun, she's very easy to rile up and make loud so its easy pickings there. However at that point he has a limit for how much of her voice he can handle at a time and will eventually tune her out.
But now that the truth's out, Tomas thinks Jackie is the most annoying person alive and hates the sound of her grating voice. He hates being around her the most of everyone as she does nothing but provide him annoyance. He finds her naivety not only ignorant but extremely shallow. Good luck accomplishing your goals, not like she's self aware enough to realize her antics are only tolerated because she forces them on others.
Ulki is Jackie's best friend and shares her desire to travel the world. As a fellow medic, Jackie tends to spend more time than most in the med bay, where she often talks Ulki's ear off. Ulki is a great listener though and seems to enjoy what she has to say which makes Jackie happy. They often talk about wanting to see the surface and what it's like down there. Though Ulki works in the med ward and so doesn't see much time down on the surface, Jackie makes sure to tell Ulki all about it when they get back and bring back as many knick knacks as she can. After the island was seemingly destroyed, Jackie hopes Ulki is ok and safe wherever she landed, she wanted her to be able to see the surface but not like this... Hopefully they'll be able to find her soon, and hopefully despite the circumstances Ulki is able to find a bit of joy in seeing the surface again.
[LINK LEVEL: 1]
Ulki worries about Jackie's tenacious nature landing her into trouble, on top of the fact that she's clumsy allowed Ulki to get familiar with her quickly. She hopes she'll be more careful from here on out.
Jackie and Ulki are good friends now, Ulki gets most of her gossip from Jackie and if that’s a good thing or a bad thing? That’s left to be determined. She likes Jackie’s company, and sees her as sisterly.
Jackie has known Howie for many years and likes to think she has a friendly delivery based rivalry with him due to them both coming from families that work in the mail business, though whether he even knows is unknown seeing as over the years she's never actually told him they're competing. She gets along well with him nonetheless, and though she can sometimes be a bit snarky or forceful with him, it is only because of the level of comfort they have. Jackie has appreciated Howie's kindness through these trying times, and she's glad to have known him for so long. Though she wouldn't want to keep him from his own desires, she wishes he chose not to eat the fruit as well. She also appreciates him being there the night Lyev and Tomas fought. As much as she was willing to run out there and try the best she could to stop them, Jackie is not physically strong by any means despite her large height, and in the end it was in her best interests that Howie stopped her. Down on the surface, she's glad Howie has continued to keep a positive attitude and do his best to help others. She's also seen the special way he eyes the various merchant stalls in the market, and hopes to help him however she can in this new ambition. Though they have shared many adventures together over these many months, one in particular stands out, their time together on the Feast of St. Deliberd. After a long day, night, and early morning, the Pawns gathered together to share gifts of gratitude with eachother, though Jackie herself was just thankful to have people like her friends, her family, in her life. From Howie, she received a gift of a beautiful snowglobe, which housed a small replica of one of the fountains found in the Emerald Filigree. Though the snow may fall endlessly on this little frozen fountain, the warmth in Jackie's heart every time she gazes on it could weather any blizzard.
Completely oblivious to their supposed rivalry, Howie sees Jackie only as a reliable and perky, if somewhat eccentric, close friend. Having been neighbors for years, Howie feels close to the entire Bluebill family, and appreciates the shared backgrounds that he and Jackie possess, considering it an interesting sort of kinship, even if she might not see it the same way...
He’s actually an avid reader of the newspaper her family puts out, as is the rest of his family, though he doesn’t read it as much anymore since he’s living a lot of the stories that were in its pages.
Hearing Jackie’s decision to stay behind and not eat the fruit hurt him due to knowing he would lose a close friend of his, but he accepted her decision and wished her the best of luck in the rest of her life, telling her that even if she didn’t want paradise, she deserved it just as much as everyone else.
After learning of her reasons for joining the guild and staying on the surface, Howie became motivated to help Jackie complete her dream, aiding her in filling out her book in his own special way...
Jackie enjoys Lyev's company and thinks he's a great listener. She will often come to him to talk about her gossips and discoveries, and while she wishes he would contribute more to the conversation sometimes, she's just happy to have another person who listens to her. Jackie can tell there's a lot Lyev keeps to himself, and hopes he learns he can rely on his friends someday. Her view of Lyev may have been rather shaken from the way he's treated Ulki and Juni, but she still has faith in him that he's a good person. She doesn't believe he was ever actually going to kill Juniper, nor does she believe he truly wants to kill Tomas. That isn't the point though, it's what he uses as motivation to get stronger and protect others, and Jackie thinks that's admirable. She still wishes though he realizes that when he feels responsible for the safety of others, they're gonna feel responsible for him in turn. As time has gone on down on the surface and with everything thats transpired, Jackie has noticed a change in Lyev. He often worries about getting stronger in body and mind to protect his friends, so much so he perhaps hasn't noticed he's gotten stronger in another way; his heart. It takes a lot of courage to open up, admit to your mistakes and shortcomings, and be vulnerable the way Lyev has been, as well as to be kind and patient when people open up to him in turn. They all have a lot of growing left to do, for themselves and eachother, and Lyev seems to have truly taken that to heart. It makes Jackie happy though to see him grow like that, and she hopes he knows she's really proud of him. After arriving at the Church of Arceus, Jackie and Lyev actually shared a rare afternoon just the two of them. Jackie desired to learn how to become a better cook so she could treat her friends to delicious meals to lift their spirits no matter where they went, and Lyev never turned down an opportunity for free food. Amidst their culinary crusades, Jackie opened up to Lyev a bit about some of her worries, her desire to be an inspiration to her friends like Rainer was for her, as well as some of her trauma regarding her upbringing, and her rocky relationship with her mother. Though Jackie is embarrassed to have dumped such things on Lyev, him lending an ear and offering her compassion means quite a lot to her. From Lyev, she was gifted a spatula adorned with a winged pattern, a memento from the day they spent learning to cook together. Though Jackie feels she has a long way to go before she can make something truly delicious for her friends, Lyev's gift, and support, will be there to help her along the way.
Lyev finds Jackie to be noisy and difficult to nap around, but does somewhat enjoy her energetic company. She talks his ear off, but all things considered, her hours long one-sided conversations are easy to sleep to.
Following Lyev admission to the party that he had tried to kill Juniper, Lyev was overwhelmed by Jackie's tornado of emotions: grief, anger, pity, frustration, distrust--and yet, faith. And hope. Jackie might be a lot to handle, but Lyev knows that he is, too. In her own way, Jackie pledged that she would protect Lyev, and that she expects him to do the same. And he will.
Jackie and Lyev shared a rare time alone on their way to the Church of Arceus. Although Lyev expected Jackie to call him out on something he inevitably did wrong, she instead surprised him with the expression that she was proud of him, and that she saw all the efforts he was taking to try and become a better person. Lyev believes that her words are premature as he doesn't think he's accomplished much at all, finding change to be the most difficult thing he's ever done, but he quietly appreciates Jackie's kind words. For Lyev, who suffers with the weight of everyone's expectations of him on his shoulders, Jackie's gentle encouragement means more to him than he lets on.
Jackie thinks Achilles is like a true story book hero, kind, strong and brave. While his eager nature can sometimes get him hurt, and he could do to open up a bit more with her and their friends, Jackie enjoys seeing Achilles do what he does best. She also wishes he would be a fair bit more careful on the battlefield however, the stories where the heroes die in the end were never a favorite of her's. Jackie worries for him after everything that's happened, she may have never been particularly fond of Mercuria by any means, but she knows how hard losing a parent can be, much less both of them. She thinks it's very admirable of him to open up the way he did, and she appreciates him being the first to do so no less. Sometimes it can take the most bravery of all just to open up to others and be honest with your feelings, perhaps Jackie's starting to see what Ulki saw in Achilles~♡. She also appreciates him offering to help with her book, he's a wonderful artist and she hopes he gets more opportunities to use those talents. Such an opportunity presented itself sooner than Jackie's think, as while out and about running errands for Mateo and Bailey's inn one day, Jackie and Achilles stumbled upon some art supplies that left Achilles star struck. With a bit of quick thinking and convenient resources, Jackie was able to obtain the painting tools for Achilles she reminded him of the importance of not just taking care of one's body and mind, but your heart as well, and part of that is making time to do what makes you happy! Achilles accepted Jackie's gift, and promised to one day use it to paint her. From Achilles, Jackie received a beautiful painted card of her, standing surrounded by holiday lights in the streets of the Emerald Filigree, alongside a heartfelt poem, where Achilles compared her to a star meant to guide the lost. Jackie, ever the crybaby, was near immediately moved to tears by Achilles' gift. To be able to give hope to the people she cares about, to be able to pay back even a fraction of the faith they put in her, it was all Jackie ever wanted, and yet a level of praise she feels she doesn't yet deserve. Nevertheless, Achilles' kindess, talent and faith means more to her than even she knows how to put into words, and she hopes she can one day become worthy of Achilles' trust in her.
Achilles appreciate how open and willing Jackie is, and how strong she is both physically and emotionally. He admires her dream and wants to help her. He wants to have a dream-like her and stand by it no matter what. Sometimes he worries that Jackie can be a bit stubborn, but that's also what he really respects about her! She knows how she should be treated as well as not take anyone else's shit.
Jackie thinks Juniper is the most fascinating person she's ever met. Even beyond the excitement of being the first person she's ever met who isn't from the island, she thinks Juniper is a very kind person who deserves better than his current reputation on the island. She's eager to show him as much of her world as she can, often dragging him around to show him her favorite people and places and telling him all her favorite stories. She knows the circumstances of his appearance are questionable for some, but still believes that he's a good person. Jackie has hazy memories of a strange dream after the destruction of the island, and something about looking at Juniper reminds her of it. Beyond that however, Jackie does worry about Juniper. He's a member of the team and one of her friends just the same as everyone else after all, and she doesn't want him to think he can't speak his mind if something's bothering him. A night owl herself, Jackie enjoys Juni's company in the twilight hours of the day when everyone else is asleep, it affords them some nice time to talk to eachother and grow closer. Its been a turbulent past few days, but through all the pain and anger and sorrow, Jackie is happy that Juni has opened up to them. It's all she's ever truly wanted for him, to know he can speak his mind, be it good or bad, and that they truly do care about him. Juni said it himself, their friendship is not a debt to be repaid, it's a gift from someone who really cares about you, and that goes both ways. Jackie may not know for sure what kind of person Juni was, but in the here and now, she truly believes he is a good person. She doesn't know what their future holds, but day by day they can figure it out together, grow together. She wants to be a better person, the kind of person Juni and everyone can be proud of, and she won't let him down. As the Pawns continue their travels to the Church of Arceus, Jackie often finds herself alongside Juni as the duo contemplate various matters of the world, why things are the way they are and why they're even here in the first place. It's a lot, to think about such things, and though neither of them have any true answers beyond their own theories and speculation, Jackie hopes they can continue to learn more, and perhaps one day come to understand the nature of their world together. Though Juniper may think he didn't get any gifts for his fellow Pawns, Jackie herself is simply grateful they had a chance to see him again before returning back to Apothos Island. It makes her happy to know he's getting along with their new friends at the Church, and that alone is enough of a gift for her. She hopes that even when they part ways for a time once again, he remembers they're always thinking about him, because just the same as their missing friends, no matter how far apart they may be, or no matter how much time passes, the Pawn Brigade will always come together again.
[LINK LEVEL: 1]
Someone with a lot of energy, Juniper in no way can match it but at the very least it is nice to see someone so full of life. Jackie seems to be very knowledgeable regarding the ins and outs of human nature and conversation... Surely, there is something of value worth learning here. It will help Juniper better assimilate into life on Apothos Island.
After everything, Juniper appreciates the fact that despite the... Everything, That Jackie is still sticking true to her beliefs and her dreams. He finds that to be the most admirable thing about her, He worries though about the fact that she seems to have taken on the role of the voice of reason so suddenly. He hopes she's not getting ahead of herself.
After the reveal of what happened on the day the tree bloomed, Juniper has become rather conflicted in his relationship with Jackie. Not because he harbors any ill feelings towards her--Quite the opposite, actually. He worries that she is refusing to believe it to be what it is even after all this time and it may lead her to fall into a similar pitfall in the future if a similar situation were to arise again.
Juniper confessed to Jackie that he often found her cruel and unkind due to the fact that her judgmental nature often turned her into a huge hypocrite. He respected that she promised to change, and has since been hoping that she would make good on it. She certainly has been trying her best to keep a more open mind, and Juniper is glad to see that she is beginning to own up to her mistakes.
Jackie thinks Fiona is a very friendly person. Though she has only just met her she is excited to one day become good friends. Though she may not share Fiona's passion for physical training and being a morning bird, she enjoys having another friend to spend time with, and one who seems to think a lot like her at that. Jackie is also very curious about her lineage, as it seems incredibly clear Fiona's mother was from the island, and wants to tell her what the island is soon enough. Jackie sympathizes with Fiona's pain of having lost a parent, and hopes that she becomes comfortable enough with her and her friends in time to rely on and confide in them when things are troubling her. With everything that's happened, Jackie has found herself quickly growing close to and relying on Fiona just the same as everyone else. She's happy Fiona has chosen to travel with them, and wants to do everything she can to help her achieve her dreams. It's like Fiona represents everything Jackie dreamed the surface would be like, strong, kind, selfless and brave, she hopes she can be more like her someday.
Jackie thinks Felyx is aloof and more than a little prickly, but a deeply loyal man who shows his kindness in his own special way. Even if they got off on the wrong foot, Jackie is happy she was able to make amends. His words about "people who've never had anyone apologize to them" in particular have stuck with her. Both from relating to them, and because Jackie wants to leave the world a kinder place for having been in it, and part of that is being more patient with others like Felyx, inspite of their own attitude. She'll remember his words very much in the future, and she hopes she gets to meet him again someday.
[LINK LEVEL: 0]
After an extremely annoying conversation with Jackie, Felyx is open about his dislike of her and is not afraid to hurt her feelings if it means getting her to leave him alone. Even after their conversation at the graveyard, her quirky desire to spark some kind of back and forth with him furthered his dislike of her. He returned to a neutral opinion of her after her help in saving Toby from the Wolfbeasts. Apologizing for judging her immediately, but offering a word of warning to her that there exist people in the world who have never been apologized to over anything. If she aims to make good on her relationships, she has to be able to apologize for the things she's done wrong.
Jackie thinks Mateo is a very polite and kind man. She greatly appreciates both him and Bailey's hospitality towards them all and hopes to repay them however she can, often asking to assist with whatever jobs around the inn and tavern need doing. Jackie is fascinated with Mateo's knowledge of drinks and cooking and hopes to learn a lot from him, and appreciates how kind he is to listen to her woes and offer a possible solution to finding their friends. Jackie can't even begin to express how thankful she is for Mateo and Bailey opening theit home to her and her friends, and hopes to see them again someday so she can properly repay them.
[LINK LEVEL 1]
Mateo was made aware of the party's missing allies by Jackie. He sympathizes with the ache of missing someone and not knowing where they are. He hopes that she and the rest of her friends will be able to find those people unharmed wherever they are in the world. Until then, he's happy to be a listening ear behind the counter offering her a drink.
Jackie thinks Reuben is a kind and jolly man, and is very curious about the adventures he has been on. Though much younger, Jackie sees a lot of her own father in him, and perhaps that's why she feels quite at ease talking to him. She enjoys learning from him, but can't help but find it a bit odd that, for all his adventuring, he doesn't seem to be all that familiar with the creatures her and her friends have seen. Perhaps these creatures have only recently started appearing? Jackie also thinks Charlotte is a very cute and friendly little kid, and hopes that she gets to see the world too someday when she's old enough to do so. Jackie wants to see all the places Reuben told her about, and hopes to see him again someday and tell him all about them.
[LINK LEVEL: 1]
Reuben finds Jackie to be a very excitable and energized individual, wanting to know what lies beyond Wolfsbane. While he finds it odd that she and her group haven't been to many places, he will at least indulge her with the nearby areas that her and her mercenary friends could head to once they wish to leave the village. He can at least give them that, should their newfound understanding between the two groups go sour for whatever reason. Watching Jackie bounce in her step, Reuben currently feels no reason to worry about that. However, one thing that stood out to Reuben was the fact that Jackie had seen odd creatures in the past with her friends when they were out traveling, but then, how did they know so little of the world if they had been traveling?
Jackie is very curious about Mister Ford and his inventions. As far as she was aware, the only people who could operate, much less make these kindsa machines were Caster and Miss Guinevere. She admires Ford's passion for his work and his philanthropic aspirations with his machines and hopes he succeeds in his dream. She also appreciates his lack of a condescending attitude when talking about his inventions, even if she still has a long way to go towards actually understanding what any of what he says means. Even still, she hopes to learn a lot from him and impress Caster when they meet again. She also hopes that Mister Ford and Caster become friends if they meet, as he reminds Jackie a lot of him.
[LINK LEVEL 1]
Upon learning that Jackie is a writer, Ford offered to help Jackie in the future with the creation and distribution of novels. After all, an inventor's goal is to make menial tasks a thing of the past, Jackie is someone who clearly harbors a lot of imagination. If she perhaps applied herself one day to science, its possible she could change the world in that light too.
Jackie thinks Mister Cecil seems like a very polite and righteous man, she can see why someone like him would be High Inquisitor. She appreciates his as well as Mister Ford and Miss Odetta's offer of help in finding their friends, though thoughts rattle in the back of her mind that there may be a bigger catch. Accompanying the Pawns wherever they go feels more like another boon for them than anything. Nevertheless, for the time being Jackie trusts in him and his friends as they trust in her and her own. Jackie feels a bit of kinship with Cecil after learning a bit about his upbringing and family at the Wolfsbane church, it doesn't matter whether you share blood with someone after all, it is the bonds you form that matter above all else. Jackie also finds it curious how despite their shared faith, there seems to be notable differences between not just the hierarchy of the church, but even the stories in their bibles between Apothos and the world beneath. Jackie hopes to talk with him again sometime and learn what else may be different between their worlds, there's a lot to learn from him. After the events on the night of the Eve of the Feast of St. Deliberd, Jackie has begun to see Cecil different. He is beginning to no longer feels like Mister Cecil the High Inquisitor, but more like Cecil, her friend. His kindness, wisdom and strength saw them through the night not just physically, but emotionally as well, knowing just what to say to pick them back up at their lowest. Jackie is truly grateful to Cecil for his hospitality, his support, and the faith he seems to have in the Pawn Brigade. Though Jackie herself doesn't know if she's personally deserving of it yet, she appreciates it nonetheless.
[LINK LEVEL: 1]
Cecil and Jackie spoke in the Wolfsbane chapel about family, where Cecil showed her the image of his own family that he holds with him at all times. They discussed her lost friends, and Cecil offered his own advice to her about what it truly means to consider someone your family. After all, familial ties do not necessarily concern one's shared blood, family is what you make it to be.
Jackie thinks Lady Elimine is a somewhat strange but fascinating person. She's never heard of anything like a vow of silence on the island, and is very curious about learning more about her. She was delighted to learn, with Mister Cecil's help, that Lady Elimine seems like a very nice and fun person! They seem to have a lot in common, and Jackie hopes they can have fun enjoying their hobbies together in the future. She is admittedly quite curious about what Lady Elimine could have possibly done that she feels the only way to seek atonement is to give up her voice, but something that extreme must be painful to think about, and Jackie doesn't want to open old wounds. She looks forward to the day her vow of silence ends so they can sing together, until that day though she's happy to continue playing 20 questions to talk to her.
[LINK LEVEL; 1]
Lady Elimine enjoyed the time spent with Jackie and her translator Cecil on the shores of Wolfsbane. It was through this conversation that Jackie learned that before taking her vow of silence, Lady Elimine was once part of the Church's choir. She also enjoys making dolls and toys for the children of the Church... Yet, there is a strange, familiar sadness shrouding her that is beyond words alone.
Jackie has only just met Sir Archibald and yet already finds herself absolutely star struck by him. He certainly made quite a first impression, with a kiss on the hand and an assortment of jokes that no one but Jackie could have found that funny. Upon visiting him again a day or so later, Jackie also found that Sir Archibald has quite the eye for antiques from all over the world. It was through him she also learned the various dragons Toby liked so much were actually central figures in Lord Arceus' faith; The Five Saints. Archibald himself coming from the land of the "Volcano Dragon" as Toby put it, also apparently being a dragon himself! He also expresses admiration for Jackie's writing ability, thinking it a noble endeavor in her line of work to document her and her friends' adventures. Jackie hopes to include Sir Archibald in those tales as time goes on.
[LINK LEVEL: 1]
Archibald appreciates when someone can enjoy a nice pun! It's always nice to have an audience that laughs at your jokes. Archibald also appreciates someone who has an eye for history, given his large amount of historical artifacts and incenses in his office, he had a nice time teaching Jackie all about them and also about the lore of the world concerning the Five Saints. The Five Dragons blessed by Lord Arceus who helped him banish darkness from the world not once, but twice!
Jackie thinks Miss Odetta is a very kind and wise woman, and she is quickly becoming someone she looks up to. Though they didn't have too many opportunities to talk while in Wolfsbane, Jackie still found her intriguing and hoped to grow closer to her. Upon arriving at the Church of Arceus though, she found her opportunity! Miss Odetta shared some of her medicinal knowledge with Jackie, encouraging her to study and experiment to help her grow into a better medic. Jackie is grateful in particular for Odetta sharing her old journal with her, and she hopes to put the knowledge in it to good use. After a bit of errand running for medical supplies for Odetta, Jackie's also a bit more familiar with the Church's medical ward too. Perhaps that was also planned by Miss Odetta?
[LINK LEVEL: 1]
Odetta sees a lot of promise in Jackie, she can tell that the young woman wants to be able to do all she can to keep her companions safe but knows that without the right tools she might not get any further; Which is why Odetta is glad that she came to her, because part of the process of growth is asking for help or assistance- which she is very willing to give her. After giving Jackie the old journal, she can only wonder what methods Jackie may or may not pick up from it…
